Let’s start off the week right and see what the MLB odds tell us at BMR’s top-rated books and betting sites. While it’s a smaller slate in the MLB tonight, there are still plenty of games to bet on, there are three bets that have caught my eye in the player prop market.
Here are three MLB props bets to consider for tonight’s slate in the MLB. We hope you tail these ones and keep cashing out!
Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals
Monday, June 13, 2022 – 07:05 PM EDT at Nationals Park
MLB Prop Bet on Lane Thomas
Lance Thomas has been heating up as of late, earning an ISO of .327 in the last 30 days against righties along with a .415 wOBA. Thomas will likely lead off in tonight’s game for Washington, giving him four or five chances at earning one hit against the Braves.
Yes, the Atlanta Braves have been red hot. But ultimately, Thomas has been too and with a BABIP of .353, I’m liking Thomas to get one hit, even at -160 juice.
Meanwhile, the Washington Nationals will take on the Atlanta Braves, at home, with Ian Anderson on the mound for the Braves. Anderson has a 4.58 xFIP in the last 30 days and has been rocked by righties, allowing a .393 wOBA and ISO of .244 in his last 86 plate appearances against them.
Baltimore Orioles vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Monday, June 13, 2022 - 07:07 PM EDT at Rogers Centre
MLB Prop Bet On Bo Bichette
The Blue Jays are starting to get hot on the offensive end. In a new series against the Orioles, the offense likely won’t be stopping anytime soon. Bo Bichette of the Blue Jays will be batting second against the Orioles. That means he’ll have probably five at-bats in this game. Let's take a look at Bichette's stats in the last 30 days:
- Bichette has had a .286 ISO along with a wOBA of .406. That’s using his last 98 plate appearances against righties. He hasn’t slowed down one bit, limiting ground balls to 39.4% while hitting line drives at 26.8%.
- Bichette has also struck out just 20.4% of the time against righties, which is an above-average number for him. If he’s up five times against righties tonight, he’ll only, on average, strike out once, and on average, hit at least one line drive in this game. That line drive could lead to an extra-base hit to give us the win.
On the other hand, Kyle Bradish will take the hill for the Orioles, with a 5.03 xFIP in the last 30 days. He’s allowed 53.1% of hard contact in that same time frame along with 26.6% of line drives. He’s also allowed a BABIP of .386 in those 30 days.
In his last 56 plate appearances against righties, Bradish has allowed a .554 wOBA and ISO of .422. That’s again, 56 plate appearances.
MLB Prop Pick: Bo Bichette Over 1.5 Bases (-125) with BetOnline
Minnesota Twins vs. Seattle Mariners
Monday, June 13, 2022 - 07:05 PM EDT at T-Mobile Park
MLB Prop Bet on Byron Buxton
Byron Buxton has a .354 ISO and wOBA of .370 in the last 30 days against righties. He’s also striking out just 18.4% of the time but has a BABIP of .178. I don’t think that BABIP of .178 is going to last very long.
He’s facing Chris Flexen of the Mariners, who has a 6.13 xFIP in the last 30 days. Flexen isn’t a threat to earn strikeouts, earning just 15.7% of strikeouts in the last 30 days. He’s also allowing 25.3% of line drives in the last 30 days with only 30.5% of grounders.
To righties, Flexen is allowing a wOBA of .358 while only earning 12.2% of strikeouts. With Buxton hitting at the top of the order for the Twins, he’ll likely get five chances at earning two total bases against Flexen and the Mariners’ pitching staff.
MLB Prop Pick: Byron Buxton Over 1.5 Total Bases (-140) with BetOnline
Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers
Monday, June 13, 2022 - 07:05 PM EDT at Comerica Park
MLB Prop Bet on Jake Burger
If you’re looking for a longshot home run prop, here’s one to consider. Jake Burger has had a .278 ISO against righties in the last 30 days. The right-hander is taking on Rony Garcia, who has allowed 31.3% of line drives in the last 30 days along with 58.3% of hard contact.
To righties, Garcia has given up a wOBA of .357 and an ISO of .289 in the last 30 days and that’s including his last 41 plate appearances.
The White Sox haven’t been great offensively but Burger has been the one consistent guy with power, going up against a Tigers pitcher that has allowed a ton of power. I like this MLB matchup. It’s a long shot, but it’s something to consider if you’re looking for a bet like this.
MLB Prop Pick: Jake Burger to hit a Home Run (+660) with BetOnline
