Editor’s Note: The game between the Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees was postponed at 01:40 PM EDT according to MLB sources. The game will be made up on Wednesday, September 7th, as part of a doubleheader.

Houston Astros lefty Framber Valdez has been arguably the most consistent pitcher in the majors this season as he looks to continue an impressive quality start streak on Tuesday.

Here are today’s player props with MLB odds from BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review), one of BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks.

Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros

Tuesday, September 6, 2022 – 08:10 PM EDT at Minute Maid Park

Astros' Prop Bet: Framber Valdez

  • Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed
  • Over/Under 19.5 Outs Recorded
  • To Record A Win

Astros left-hander Framber Valdez is getting no AL Cy Young love as he’s a +9000 long shot at BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks but he deserves more consideration. Valdez (14-4, 2.63 ERA) has had an incredible 22 straight quality starts, which means at least 6 innings pitched and no more than 3 earned runs allowed. That’s a franchise record streak and the longest ever by a lefty.

"What you want is consistency," Manager Dusty Baker said. "What drives you crazy is inconsistency when you don’t know what you’re going to get. Framber was great. He’s aware of the number of consecutive quality starts and that’s what's pushing him.”

The first-time All-Star is only the fourth pitcher in history to record 22 consecutive quality starts in a season, joining Jacob deGrom (24 straight in 2018), Bob Gibson (22 in ‘68), and Chris Carpenter (22 in ‘05).

In August, Valdez was 5-0 with a 2.04 ERA and .214 opponents’ batting average. He beat Texas twice in the month, allowing just two earned runs over 15 innings.

Rangers' Prop Bet: Nathaniel Lowe

  • Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases

Few Rangers have good splits off Valdez, but we’ll fade first baseman Nathaniel Lowe.

He’s having a fine year overall at .302 with 23 homers and 67 RBIs but is 1-for-12 off Valdez with four strikeouts.

MLB Prop Pick: Lowe Under 1.5 Total Bases (-210) at BetOnline

Astros' Prop Bet: Kyle Tucker

  • Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases

It’s Glenn Otto (6-8, 4.82 ERA) for Texas. Houston outfielder Kyle Tucker has an .857 OPS against right-handers this season and is 4-for-12 career with a double and homer off Otto.

Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees

Tuesday, September 6, 2022 – 07:05 PM EDT at Yankee Stadium

Twins vs. Yankees: What You Should Know

TBS has the national telecast of this potential AL playoff preview. Note that injury-prone Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton is in doubt.

He left Monday’s win over the Twins with a knee injury. X-rays were negative, according to Aaron Boone, but the manager was noncommittal about Stanton being back in the lineup Tuesday.

In 10 games since coming back from the injured list (exclusively as a DH), Stanton is 4-for-38 (.105) with 9 strikeouts, 5 walks and no extra-base hits.

Yankees' Prop Bet: Gerrit Cole

  • Over/Under 6.5 Strikeouts

Yanks ace Gerrit Cole (10-7, 3.28 ERA) is perhaps having a moderately disappointing season simply by his standards and salary, but he does lead the majors with 204 strikeouts and is whiffing 11.6 per nine innings at Yankee Stadium this year.

Professional athletes have egos, and Cole is going to be fired up to pitch well tonight because the Twins embarrassed him on June 9 at Target Field by knocking Cole around for seven runs and eight hits in 2.1 innings, including a career-worst five homers. Cole allowed the first three batters he faced to go yard.

Twins' shortstop Carlos Correa has had some decent success vs. Cole career, going 4-for-7 with a homer. Second-year pitcher

MLB Prop Pick: Cole Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-160) at BetOnline

Twins' Prop Bet: Aaron Judge

  • Over/Under 0.5 Home Runs

Joe Ryan (10-7, 3.88 gets the call for Minnesota, and he hasn’t faced the Yankees in a regular-season game. Yanks star Aaron Judge has homered in three straight games for the second time this season and is up to 54 on the season, a whopping 18 ahead of second-place Kyle Schwarber and on track to break Roger Maris’ AL record of 61.

Judge's 54 HRs are tied with Alex Rodriguez (2007) for the most in a season by a Yankees right-handed batter. No. 99 has hit eight home runs in 43 at-bats over his past 13 games.

With likely no Stanton, Judge loses some protection in the lineup, so I largely expect the Twins to pitch around Judge tonight and keep him in the yard.
