Could Aaron Judge actually fall short of breaking the American League record with 62 home runs? Nope, we think he goes yard tonight.

Here are today’s player props with MLB odds from BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review), one of BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks

New York Yankees vs. Texas Rangers

Monday, October 3, 2022 – 07:05 PM EDT at Globe Life Field

Aaron Judge

  • Over/Under 0.5 Home Runs

Is 2022 MLB home-run champion Aaron Judge pressing? I think there’s a reasonable chance that he is as Judge tied Roger Maris’ Yankees and American League record with his 61st homer on Wednesday but hasn’t gone yard since.

I promise you that Manager Aaron Boone wants it to happen tonight so he can give Judge at least one of the final two games off to rest up for the postseason, the Yankees are locked into the AL’s No. 2 seed and get a bye to the Divisional Series.

Judge hasn’t been great career off Texas pitcher Martin Perez (1-for-9 for a double), but Globe Life Park is very hitter-friendly and Perez might be wearing down a bit at age 31.

MLB Prop Pick: Judge Over 0.5 Home Runs (+245) at BetOnline

Luis Severino

  • Over/Under 5.5 Strikeouts
  • Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded

Meanwhile, I don’t think there’s a chance in hell that Boone allowed Severino to go more than 5 innings with his injury past.

The Yanks need him healthy for the playoffs. The right-hander has totaled only 11 innings in his past three starts.

Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins

Monday, October 3, 2022 - 06:40 PM EDT at LoanDepot Park

Bryce Elder

  • Over/Under 4.5 Strikeouts
  • Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed

The Braves sure do know how to find pitching out of thin air don’t they? The 23-year-old Elder comes off a complete-game six-hit shutout of Washington and has a 0.65 ERA and an 0.83 WHIP with 28 strikeouts over 27 2/3 innings in his past four.

That’s in part because he has only faced the Nationals and Marlins but let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth.

Matt Olson

  • Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases

Miami lefty Jesus Luzardo (3-7, 3.53) is pretty good, but will face a motivated Braves team looking to clinch the NL East tonight and then rest up.

Maybe no hitter in the majors is hotter right now than Atlanta’s Matt Olson as one of our MLB picks, since he’s hitting .500 with 5 homers and 9 RBIs in the past seven days. He’s 1-for-6 career off Luzardo with a homer.

Austin Riley

  • Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases

Also like Austin Riley tonight as he’s 4-for-8 with two doubles off Luzardo. We never like a Miami batter

Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds

Monday, October 3, 2022 - 06:40 PM EDT at Great American Ball Park

Hunter Greene

  • Over/Under 8.5 Strikeouts

Reds fire-balling right-hander Hunter Greene was one of the most touted pitching prospects in the sport entering the season.

It went horribly wrong for him early on, but Greene has been very good of late, allowing two earned runs or fewer in five straight starts with 43 strikeouts.

Greene is the only rookie since 1900 to produce in a season at least 3 appearances in which he threw at least 6.0 innings with at least 8 strikeouts and no more than one hit.

Greene in four starts threw at least 38 pitches at more than 100 miles per hour, the most recorded in the pitch-tracking era (since 2008). Greene's 30.6% strikeout rate matches up well with the Cubs and their 23.8% mark facing right-handers.

Ian Happ

  • Over/Under 0.5 Hits

Chicago’s Ian Happ has had success off Greene, though, going 2-for-3 with a double and homer.

MLB Prop Pick: Happ Over 0.5 Hits (-135) at BetOnline
