The last day of May has an expanded MLB slate due to a Twins-Tigers doubleheader. Here are six MLB player prop picks on the day – but none from those two games — with odds from BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review), one of BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Tuesday, May 31, 2022 – 10:10 PM EDT at Dodger Stadium

This looks to be the mismatch of the night with the Dodgers as massive -315 favorites at the MLB odds, but Los Angeles was -330 on Monday behind ace Walker Buehler and upset by Pittsburgh 6-5 to see a four-game winning streak snapped.

The Dodgers rallied from a 4-0 deficit to take a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth, but closer Craig Kimbrel blew the save in the top of the ninth.

Michael Perez hit a tying single in the ninth inning and pinch-runner Michael Chavis scored the go-ahead run on Freddie Freeman's error. Rather amazingly, the Pirates have beaten the Dodgers in three of four meetings this month.

Dodgers Prop Bet: Julio Urias

  • To Record A Win
  • Over/Under 4.5 Strikeouts

I don’t expect Los Angeles to lose here behind lefty Julio Urias (3-4, 2.49 ERA) – Pittsburgh has won just 15 of its past 57 road games against southpaw starters. Urias obviously isn’t getting much run support with that record despite a 2.49 ERA, but the Dodgers should light up Bucs starter Mitch Keller (1-5, 6.05).

Urias has faced the Pirates one time in his career and that was on May 9 in Pittsburgh, with Urias allowing 2 runs and 11 hits over 6 innings in a loss.

That was a bit of a trap game for the team after it had to play the night before and travel late. In night games this year, Urias is 3-2 with a 2.18 ERA.

Dodgers Prop Bet: Trea Turner

  • At Least 2 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Los Angeles shortstop Trea Turner, meanwhile, was 1-for-5 with a run scored Monday to extend his hitting streak to 22 games in a row.

That’s the longest streak in MLB this season. It’s Turner’s second hitting streak of at least 20 games since joining the Dodgers last summer via trade from Washington and he has hit safely in 41 of 48 contests this year while recording multi-hit efforts in nine games.

Turner hasn’t faced Bucs starter Keller, who is 1-2 with a 6.06 ERA on the road and 1-2 with an 8.55 ERA at night.

Washington Nationals vs. New York Mets

Tuesday, May 31, 2022 – 07:10 PM EDT at Citi Field

As good as the Mets have looked at times this season, they are on their longest winning streak of the season and it’s only four games.

Last year, the Mets never led the NL East by more than 5 1/2 games. This season, they’re already atop it by 9 1/2. Their division lead is the biggest the Mets have ever held in May.

New York already has set a franchise record with 158 runs in the month of May, scoring double digits on Monday (13) for the sixth time this year.

Mets Prop Bet: Francisco Lindor

  • At Least 2 Hits + Runs + RBIs

New York shortstop Francisco Lindor was 3-for-5 on Monday with 2 RBIs and is 10-for-23 with 14 RBIs and 9 runs scored in the past seven days. Against Corbin, he’s 6-for-20 career with a double.

Mets Prop Bet: Pete Alonso

  • To Have 1+ Home Run and Mets To Win

Pete Alonso really hammers Corbin, going 11-for-32 with 4 homers and 7 RBIs. He homered Monday as well.

Nationals Prop Bet: Patrick Corbin

  • To Not Record A Win

I expect another big offensive night against hugely struggling Nationals lefty Patrick Corbin (1-7, 6.30 ERA).

I don’t know what happened to that guy as he was a very good pitcher as recently as 2019 when Washington won its first World Series title.

On the road this season, Corbin is 0-3 with a 6.86 ERA and he’s 1-5 with a 7.16 ERA at night.
