Not sure if you have noticed, but there are a lot of big-name MLB players currently out injured and now two Cardinals All-Stars can’t play, either, because they aren’t vaccinated for COVID.

Here are today’s player props with MLB odds from BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review), one of BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks.

Cardinals vs. Blue Jays: What You Should Know

The Cardinals’ two best hitters by far, All-Stars Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado are not with the team – neither is a backup catcher – because they are not vaccinated for COVID. That’s one huge advantage the Jays will have all year at home.

Goldschmidt leads the Cards in nearly every major offensive category and is the betting favorite at the best sportsbooks to win NL MVP for the first time. He has a season WAR of 5.3 and Arenado 5.1.

Blue Jays Prop Bet: Jose Berrios

  • Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed
  • Over/Under 4.5 Strikeouts

I expect Jays' pitcher Jose Berrios (7-4, 5.22 ERA) to largely dominate a watered-down lineup.

That season's ERA isn’t great but he has been much better at home with a 5-0 record, 3.33 ERA, and 57 strikeouts in 51.1 innings

He faced the Cards in St. Louis on May 23 and allowed 3 runs over 6.1 innings with 7 Ks in 6.1 innings – St. Louis had both Goldschmidt (he hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 10th) and Arenado then.

MLB Prop Pick: Berrios Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-180) at BetOnline

Blue Jays Prop Bet: George Springer

  • Over/Under 0.5 Runs

Leadoff hitter George Springer has gotten on base in 10 straight games personally, and I fully expect him to again and come around to score.

MLB Prop Pick: Springer Over 0.5 Runs Scored (-150) at BetOnline

Blue Jays Prop Bet: Raimel Tapia

  • Over/Under 0.5 RBIs

An RBI hit from Raimel Tapia could help Springer make his run. He has at least one RBI in six straight games and 14 total in that stretch.

MLB Prop Pick: Tapia Over 0.5 RBIs (+215) at BetOnline

Cardinals Prop Bet: Corey Dickerson

  • Over/Under 0.5 Total Bases

For our MLB picks, we will back one Cardinals hitter, though, in Corey Dickerson. He doesn’t play all the time but surely will today because of the two stars out. Dickerson is 5-for-11 with 3 doubles and a homer career against Berrios

MLB Prop Pick: Dickerson Over 0.5 Total Bases (-200) at BetOnline

New York Yankees vs. New York Mets

Tuesday, July 26, 2022 - 07:10 PM EDT at Citi Field

Yankees vs. Mets: What You Should Know

The first game of a Subway Series and could be a preview of the World Series – although I sure hope not. Naturally, this game is nationally televised because all Yankees-Mets games are pretty much.

Mets Prop Bet: Taijuan Walker

  • Over/Under 16.5 Outs Recorded

Have to say I’m surprised that neither pitcher is listed with at least an Over/Under of 18 outs as that’s obviously 6 innings.

Walker has gone at least 6 innings in eight straight outings and has seven straight quality starts (at least 6 innings and no more than three ER allowed).

He is tied for the longest such streak of his career (also, May 29-July 1, 2015), tied for the longest active streak in the majors, and tied for the fourth-longest this season overall.

MLB Prop Pick: Walker Over 16.5 Outs Recorded (-130) at BetOnline

Yankees Prop Bet: Jordan Montgomery

  • Over/Under 17.5 Outs Recorded

Montgomery, meanwhile, has gone at least 6 innings in 10 of his past 12.

Yankees Prop Bet: Giancarlo Stanton

  • Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases

Giancarlo Stanton has had success off of Walker's career, going 4-for-10 with a double and homer. Stanton got Sunday’s game off and is a little beaten up overall but is expected in tonight’s lineup.

MLB Prop Pick: Stanton Over 1.5 Total Bases (+129) at BetOnline

Yankees Prop Bet: Anthony Rizzo

  • Over/Under 1.5 Total Bases

Not a fan of Anthony Rizzo in this game as he’s 0-for-10 vs. Walker.

MLB Prop Pick: Rizzo Under 1.5 Total Bases (-170) at BetOnline

Mets Prop Bet: Francisco Lindor

  • At Least 2 Hits + Runs + RBIs

On the flip side, Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor loves facing the Yankees. Lindor is a career .317 hitter with 10 homers and .965 OPS in 41 games against NYY.

In his first Subway Series in 2021, he batted .381 with 4 homers and a 1.504 OPS in the six games. And Lindor likes facing Montgomery, going 5-for-9 with a homer and a double against the Yankees lefty.

MLB Prop Pick: Lindor at Least 2 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-179) at BetOnline
