Often on Thursdays, we are limited with games we can use for props bets because there are so many matinees, but there’s just one today among the 11 games.

Here are three MLB player prop plays of the day with MLB odds from BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves

Thursday, May 26, 2022 – 07:20 PM EDT at Truist Park

Phillies Prop Bet: Bryce Harper

  • Over/Under 0.5 Runs Scored

Series finale between NL East rivals. Two-time NL MVP winner Philadelphia’s Bryce Harper is currently +800 with BMR’s best books and betting sites. Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia is considered an excellent hitters’ park, yet Harper is going nuts on the road of late.

After a 4-for-5 night Wednesday with two doubles and a run scored, Bryce Harper is hitting .520 with a 1.660 OPS, nine doubles, five homers, 13 RBIs, and 11 runs scored over his past 10 on the road.

Harper loves Atlanta’s newish Truist Park as in 39 career games there, he has posted a .966 OPS with 30 runs, nine doubles, 12 home runs, and 32 RBIs. Among all players with at least 100 at-bats at Truist Park, Harper ranks third with a home run every 11.60 at-bats

One note I want bettors to be aware of: Star Braves outfielder and NL MVP candidate Ronald Acuña Jr. is not expected to play for the second game in a row. Acuña sat out Wednesday as he is dealing with a Grade 1 quadriceps strain and there’s no way the Braves will risk worsening it for a game in May.

Thursday Atlanta starting pitcher Kyle Wright is having a breakout season at 4-2 with a 2.49 ERA, but Harper is 2-for-4 career off him with a double and two walks. Simply on the price, Harper scoring a run is the best value.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

Thursday, May 26, 2022 – 07:45 PM EDT at Busch Stadium

Cardinals Prop Bet: Paul Goldschmidt

  • Over/Under 0.5 Hits

We mentioned Bryce Harper above and he’s rolling right now, but no National League player is hotter than the Cards’ Paul Goldschmidt. Goldschmidt is at +2500 to win his first NL MVP and might be good value at that price.

While St. Louis had a four-game winning streak snapped Tuesday in an 8-1 loss to Toronto, Goldy was 2-for-3 with a walk. That extended his MLB-leading on-base streak to 30 consecutive games, the longest in the majors this season.

Also, It extended Goldschmidt’s hitting streak to an NL-best 16 straight games to tie his longest since joining the Cardinals. Goldschmidt is batting .448 during the streak and also has an NL-best 17 multi-hit games this year.

Series opener between NL Central contenders and the Cardinals have a pretty big advantage if you wanted to bet the side because they were off yesterday and will have their full bullpen, while the Brewers will not because they had to play in San Diego, used a few key relievers, and then obviously arrived late in St. Louis.

Milwaukee starts a very good pitcher in lefty Eric Lauer (4-1, 2.16 ERA), and while Goldschmidt is 0-for-7 career off Lauer, the slugger is batting an absurd .536 on the season against southpaws.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Thursday, May 26, 2022 – 09:40 PM EDT at Chase Field

Dodgers Prop Bet: Mookie Betts

  • Over/Under 0.5 Runs

We address another NL MVP candidate in the Dodgers’ Mookie Betts, who is a former AL MVP. Betts is at +550 second-favorite to add the NL version and join Frank Robinson as the only players to win the award in both leagues.

Betts got a rest day Wednesday in Washington and It is not a coincidence that the Dodgers were shut out for the first time this season in a 1-0 loss.

In Tuesday’s blowout win over the Nats, Betts went 3-for-4 with two homers, four RBIs, and scored a run for the 12th straight game, which is a Dodger team-high for games with at least one run scored. He has now hit safely in 26 of his last 30 games since April 19, while batting .333 with 12 homers, 27 RBIs, and a team-best 38 runs scored in that span.

Mookie Betts leads the majors with 44 runs scored and the Dodgers are 24-5 when he scores at least one. He is averaging better than a run a game (1.1) this season, which is the highest run per game average by a Dodger in the Live-Ball Era. Betts is a 1-for-3 career off Arizona starter Humberto Castellanos.
