We’re back at it again on Tuesday with more MLB action to play. There are some really great matchups on the diamond tonight and we will take full advantage. We have put in the effort, done the homework and are now ready to find the winners. Let’s hit it, brother!

Oakland Athletics vs. Boston Red Sox

Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 – 07:10 PM EDT at Fenway Park

I think we have a juicy one on our hands Tuesday night in Boston. The Athletics will take on the Red Sox in a matchup of two very good teams on the young season.

The Athletics come into this game with a 21-15 record overall, but they are 2-3 in their last five games and only 5-5 in their last ten contests. They will send Chris Bassitt to the hill tonight who is 2-2 with an ERA of 3.70. The Athletics offense has been struggling a bit lately, but the short porch of Fenway Park combined with the Red Sox starter might be just what they need to wake up the bats.

The Red Sox are a very surprising 22-14 on the season thus far, but their starter tonight, Nathan Eovaldi has been more of a beneficiary of good luck, than a prime contributor. Eovaldi sits with a nice 4-2 record, but an ERA of 4.62. He’s got stuff that when it’s on, it can be electric the way it dances. But when his stuff flattens out, it can be bombs away.

I like both pitchers, but I don’t love either of them. I think both of these teams have offenses capable of taking advantage of the starters tonight. I like the value on the total in Beantown.

MLB Pick: Over 8.5 (-110) at Bovada

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 - 07:40 PM EDT at Miller Park

This National League Central matchup features two teams with quality starters on the mound this evening in St. Louis. The Cardinals are coming off a sweep of the Rockies and sending talented lefty, Kwang Hyun Kim to the hill tonight. He is 1-0 with a 3.06 ERA so far this season. The Cardinals are also 8-2 in their last ten and playing excellent baseball right now.

The Brewers on the other hand are winners of their last two, but were struggling before that. They bring Freddy Peralta to the mound who is good this year with a 3-1 record and a 3.38 ERA. The problem for the Brewers is that Peralta has been hit pretty good by the Cardinals in his appearances against them. I think this gives the hotter team in the matchup an advantage that gives them incredible value on this line.
