We’re back at it again on Monday with more MLB action to play. There are some really great matchups on the diamond tonight and we will take full advantage. We have put in the effort, done the homework and are now ready to find the winners. Let’s hit it, brother!

San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies

Monday, May 10th, 2021 – 08:40 PM EDT at Coors Field

The San Diego Padres are still finding their way this season. There is a lack of consistency with the Padres at this point in the young season. Still, there is no denying the level of talent on this team. Starter Dinelson Lamet has found his way back to the field after dealing with injury issues for quite some time. When he is healthy he is an incredibly talented pitcher and I think he will be a serious asset to this teams staff if he can stay healthy.

The Rockies are a disaster. They are losers of seven out of ten and have little reason for optimism. Tonight they will send Antonio Senzatela to the mound, who is 1-3 with a 5.76 ERA. Senzatela has not been good for several seasons now and this is not the lineup to try and get right against. Organizationally the Rockies are no better, after firing the GM earlier in the season, they are a ship without a rudder. I’ll lay the price with the Padres.

Texas Rangers vs. San Francisco Giants

Monday, May 10th, 2021 - 09:45 PM EDT at AT&T Park

This game has the look of a low scoring affair when you look at the teams on paper. Klye Gibson will start for the Rangers today and he is 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA so far this year. Very good numbers and Gibson looks the part as well, he has good stuff and command. The Giants tonight will send Alex Wood to the bump and he has gone 3-0 with a 1.96 ERA. The lefty has been very good and has been a big boost to the surprising Giants start.

Often times when you look at these matchups you see bettors running to hit the under, I tend to go the other way. This number is set at 7 and to me that is just too low for offenses that have been hitting well. Particularly Texas, the Rangers have been hitting lefties and righties equally well lately. I think both offenses will be able to get to the starters and hit the bullpens to get us over this total.

MLB Pick: Over 7 (-120) at Bovada
