Betfair to slash its commission rates on all AFL markets for 2007

With this move, the online betting exchange hopes to grab a share of up to 25 per cent of the $400 million sports betting market dominated by Tabcorp. "We think AFL has got tremendous potential as a wagering product for us ... it's an uncompetitive market at the moment and we think that this initiative will help us to get a bigger share of the market," said Andrew Twaits, Betfair Head of Corporate and Business Affairs.
