Do they offer free BTC payouts or do they charge 2.5% for Bitcoin payouts?

I don't know of any top books that charge for crypto payments? I always thought that was the perk of using crypto. I last played there maybe 15 years ago so can't give you an answer. Please keep us updated.

Can you give more details? Did the website say he was getting hit with a 2.5% fee or did he find out when he received payment and it was short? Did he ask YouWager about it? Did they acknowledge the fee, or was it one of those things like at GTBets where they say there is no fee and have no idea what you're talking about?

I remember hearing that CRIS recently started charging non-recreational accounts withdrawal fees. I wonder if that's what is going on here.

I am told it is disclosed online during the withdrawal process. He has multiple withdrawals pending and what can he complain about it was disclosed during the payout request. It could be as "Don't Tail Me" says deemed a non recreational player. I do not have an account there , maybe someone else can tell if the websites rules differ from the current review here. It is sort of unethical do make a profit on withdrawals. Everybody realizes that sportsbooks have expenses on money in and out, but 2.5% for Bitcoin is crazy.

Anyway it is black and white, they either charge no fee as stated in the A+ review or the review is wrong. I am sure Bookmakers Review can get the answer in one 2 min phone call.

I believe they charge a fee to "non-recreational players". I remember seeing a thread at SBR about this issue a while back. It's not surprising. YW is pretty shady in a variety of ways. They are not A+.

@Judge Crater , if your friend writes in to BMR with his account number we can ask a manager why he was charged 2.5% of his withdrawal.

I believe they charge a fee to "non-recreational players". I remember seeing a thread at SBR about this issue a while back. It's not surprising. YW is pretty shady in a variety of ways. They are not A+.

First we've heard of a bitcoin fee being charged selectively. Agreed that would not be fair, and certainly should be published with clear details. We will update the review accordingly upon confirmation. Keep the feedback coming and we will discuss with YouWager.

They are paying him out slowly, will take about a month. I am sure when they finish paying in March sometime, he will file a complaint. I cannot imagine it is in his best interest to file a complaint while they are holding his funds and paying at the frequency they insist on.

Oh, I wasn't assuming any bad faith on BMR's part. I assumed the user deleted it because it was called out as an obvious shill post. Do we have that capability as posters? I agree it should not be BMR's place to cover up sportsbooks' mistakes. If YW wants to pay players for fake positive reviews, then they need to pay the price when it inevitably backfires.

Let me make it abundantly clear - legit user feedback will not be censored, deleted, or otherwise buried. That is how Bookmakers Review will operate. It makes no difference what rating the book is - user feedback will be aired and we are here to help when we can.

Regarding the obvious shill post that was made today - again it makes no difference that the poster shared his remarks on an well-rated book or not, and if you were looking to make a conclusion on how the site would operate and you felt well-rated sites would be handled with kid gloves, I'd think you might expect we would not delete favorable feedback. However, the poster you're talking about was an obvious shill and was banned - and there is other data in support of that decision. But just so that we're very clear, I've undeleted the post and locked the topic.

Back to this issue - we'll still reach out to YouWager about their bitcoin policy even if your friend wishes not to submit a complaint. Thanks guys and keep the feedback coming.

There wasn't a negative comment about YouWager from the thread starter. The guy was an obvious shill and was banned. Yes someone connected the dots - wasn't really hard to. But just so the intention is not misunderstood, it's undeleted and locked.

Thanks for confirming. That's good to hear. If books pay the price every time they try to pull something like this, then it should become less common.

YouWager is a B or B- book. Soft lines, decent promos.

However: If they deem you sharp they will harass you for KYC and, more importantly, they will cut your payout limits to $2k per withdrawal that can take forever. Years ago I had my account shut down and they wouldn't even unlock it to process payouts. I had to do it over the phone with an agent. Something like 25 payouts of $2k each, with each time confirming the last 4 digits of the BTC address, my pin, etc. It took almost 2 hours. Embarrassing operation but if I could get a fresh account I would still find it worthwhile to post up there.

I personally had a similar experience, I think I had like 16 or 17 2K payouts, account was locked so I could not keep track. I got scammed out of 4K in the middle of the payouts as you don't know when they are coming. At the end they claimed I called in and changed the destination BTC address on two of them. I remember 3-4 people had the same thing happen on the SBR thread, it was probably staff. I complained to SBR and it went nowhere, really weird stuff, no responses for a month at a time, then SBR responded about a completely different issue. I was content to get 28K of the 32K.

Yep, giving them anything more than a B is ludicrous. I rate both Betnow/SBG and BetUS ahead of them and I don't think many consider those to be A books.

YouWager definitely charges a fee on bitcoin withdraws if they say you are a non-recreational player.
