Is there anything college sports can do to level the playing field?

We all know that it's the same dominant teams in male and female sports every year.

Can the NCAA lower the number of Sports scholarships each School can offer so that there's many more good players to go around?

Well that's why we have conferences

More, smaller conferences, then a well devised playoff system, will bring more attention to more teams & players

These mega conferences are killing ncaa
You a right butt that's not working. All the top players are still being sucked into those same schools. You can't stop a kid from going to what school he wants to so only real way to do it is to drop the number of scholarships a school can offer each year so the talent gets more spread out.

I'd say the majority of 3& 4 star recruits choose conference over schools.

They want TV time & pedigree

Less opportunities for the UCF / CINCY type schools = less opportunities for mid term recruits to go 2nd tier programs

Need to open it up

Scholarships have become irrelevant with the new NIL rules. Limiting them will not help.

If a school was smart, NIL $ will go to the top players. Then utilize scholarships for those athletes you want to come to your program but don't receive any NIL money. You'd be fully utilizing your $$$ available to obtain recruits without exceeding the salary cap (uh, I mean scholarship limit).

Wait...But then the NCAA will be like the MLB and their twisted ways with now salary cap and we'll be in the same boat it will still be the same teams every year
No, because there is no limit to the # of teams in a salaried NCAA project.

The SCOTUS already ruled in the NIL case that they could be paid as well....so that would move recruits around pretty efficiently.

Go non-scholarship and stop playing on TV. Instant parity.

NCAA has always been professional sports and is all in now so no point wanting parity.

But more parity than ever before now. These teams have a heck of time beating Georgia State, Troy and Arkansas State.

NCAA is a monopoly and that is intentional so there will never be parity.
