Starspreads.com - scam or real?

Hi! Has anyone traded with starspreads.com? I want to know whether is safe to trade with this bookmaker before risking my stake. From my findings, this bookmaker is regulated in Ireland while her parent company "starsports.bet" is regulated in Uk which pose somehow tricky and confusing

Star Sports (starsports.bet) are a well established UK bookmaker and are totally legitimate. They haven't been online for too long (a few months), but their telephone betting service has been going for many years and is well respected. They've been offering spread betting since 2013, I believe. Spread betting isn't my thing, but I've never come across any serious issues relating to their spread betting arm.

Star Spreads are separate from Sports Spread (who should indeed be avoided).

My worry with StarSpreads is that they are based in Ireland which means effectively unregulated (see SportsSpread threads). Why would a UK bookmaker base its Spreads arm in Ireland?
