N.Y. YANKEES @ TAMPA BAY | 07/29 | 1:10 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -130
ANALYSIS: The Yankees are 7-0 all-time on the road with Gerrit Cole taking on an AL foe when he averaged more than four pitches per batter in his last start. He has seven quality starts in this spot, going an average of 7.38 inning with a WHIP of 0.67. The Rays are 0-6 as home underdogs coming off a game as favorites in which they had more strikeouts than hits.

CHI. WHITE SOX @ KANSAS CITY | 07/29 | 2:10 PM EDT
CHI. WHITE SOX -180
ANALYSIS: The White Sox are 17-0 as 140-plus favorites coming off a game as favorites in which they did not hit a home run. The Royals, meanwhile, are 0-8 as 120-plus underdogs when they won by one run in their starter’s last start, while leading for multiple innings.

UNDER 7.5
ANALYSIS: New York RHP Gerrit Cole has absolutely regained his form after a rough patch. Cole has registered 31 strikeouts in 20 innings over his last three starts against the strong offenses of Houston and Boston. Look for Cole to control this game and keep it low-scoring. Tampa Bay is 2-1 against Cole and defeated the Yankees the last time they faced him in June. The Rays are 0-9 OU (-3.89 ppg) since Oct. 8, 2020 as underdogs when they defeated the opposing starting pitcher in the last same-season meeting.

FEATURED PICK

N.Y. YANKEES @ TAMPA BAY | 07/29 | 1:10 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -130
ANALYSIS: No one likes Tropicana Field, it's a dang mausoleum, but Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole apparently enjoys it there with a career 1.82 ERA in four starts -- including eight brilliant shutout innings May 12. No team strikes out more than the Rays, so he could have 14Ks this afternoon. Aaron Judge has been medically cleared and should be in the lineup -- he didn't start Wednesday waiting for test results but pinch-hit. Newly-acquired Joey Gallo surely will not debut quite yet with travel, etc. It's Luis Patino (1-2, 5.26) on the mound for Tampa, which has dropped its past three. I can't not take Cole at a price of just -130.
