I love all the rich colors in so many of these photos.
We have villages all over where they make certain things. Look at this Incense village here. They burn a lot of incense here. The silk markets are amazing. I live 2 blocks away from the world famous Van Phuc Silk Village, lots of tourism there, I walk by there daily, lots of colors there too. If anyone is into silk this is the place. From sheets for your bed, to suits, shirts, boxers scarves, you name it , they make, it and custom too. and very very cheap.

View tonight from one of my favorite cafes overlooking Trúc Bạch Lake. This is the lake that John McCain got shot down in. I have talked about this before, it is a happening spot now, lots of bars, hotels, etc etc. I live about 11km from this area but it is a fun area to come to sometimes. Nice night tonight. This is a picture of one of the guys who pulled him outimage3503497.jpeghanoi.jpegmc_cain_with_on.jpeg

In Việt Nam there big and small hospitals dedicated to Acupuncture. There are probably 20-30 big hospitals that do it here. But here are 100s of small places all over. There are 5 or 6 just in my neighborhood. I go once or twice a week for a session. I get the pins in every part of my body, I prefer my face , arm and hands and the other day different areas. I am a big advocate of getting this done. Very relaxing. This is the hospital I go to , the whole place is nothing but Acupuncture. 4 different buildings, one building has 10 floors. the others 3-5 floors.View attachment 13667View attachment 13668View attachment 13669

Why do you prefer it on the face, Fly?

I've never tried acupuncture but I think I would love it to do on my back.

Crazy last few days for me, got back to Vietnam today and was in the south and they are working on the road, I had to take a boat to get to the airport, I was deep in the Mekong Delta and stumbled upon this nice floating market. There are floating markets all over but this was one very very out of the way and deep in the Mekong. They guy driving my boat told me he never sees any foreigners in the area I was in.

I love Durian, I eat it almost daily along with soursap

Happy for Viet Nam, Durian has turned into a billion dollar business for them
Ohhh! Yes! Durian is the best! It's actually expensive as well. Soursop is also very good, we called them "Guyabano" in my hometown, they said this fruit is good for fighting cancers.

It is very very cheap here. Certain fruits are very expensive because they don't grow here. Apples, Grapes, Cherries are very expensive but they sell like crazy and how high $$, Watermelon, soursap, durian, oranges, pineapple , passion fruit, lychee, dragon fruit, etc very cheap.... Our oranges here are green and we don't have lemons here, only limes, Viet people call limes lemons, even in kids text books in school are taught limes are lemons. oranges.jpeg

I think you'll see a lot of apples and grapes during Xmas season. Asian loves that fruit on their tables every xmas season haha.

Same in PH, I don't think we have lemons there and we call it the same. So confusing. haha
