Last weekend I deposited £1,000 with Fansbet. They have a promotion where they give back a bonus of 2% of anything bet on Sports up to £300 (as in the total bonus to be given out is £300). You trigger the bonus by clicking on a drop down box when you depsoit.

Anyway some of the bets I made won and some lost and when I’d made the full number of bets to get the full £300 I made a withdrawal of £1,360. After some delay with the processing of the withdrawal, I noticed that the withdrawal was cancelled so I queried this and got back an email stating the following:

“Please notice the winnings were confiscated due to cashback bonus abuse on discretion of the Payments department. The balance was adjusted with - 1,363.36 GBP due to betting below the minimum odds. Hence, withdrawal was cancelled and the balance confiscated as such behaviour is against the terms.

You may see the terms regarding the cashback offer here or under Promotions page on the site. Please see below the terms a point on our general terms and conditions concerning this rule.

Terms and Conditions

Select the bonus in the drop-down list and deposit £10 or more. Deposits with Skrill and Neteller do not qualify for this promotion.

This offer entitles you to 2% Cashback on sportsbook turnover – up to £300. Minimum odds per bet to qualify for Cashback is 1/2 (1.5). Bets below the minimum odds will lead to bonus cancellation and cashback being revoked. To convert earned Cashback to cash, go to: ‘My Profile’, click on “Bonuses” then ‘Convert’.

Max bet is £3,000. Wager £15,000 or more to receive max Cashback. Cashback is triggered by turnover on Sports. Bonus- and Casino bets do not qualify. Cashback is credited without wagering and will be available once the qualifying bet is settled.

Cashback is capped at £300. Cashed out bets do not qualify. Currency equivalents apply. This offer is available between Friday (12:00) and Sunday (23:59) every week until stated otherwise. Once claimed, the bonus expires after 7 days. Bets must be settled before expiry.

FansBet reserves the right to cancel bonus eligibility, bonus amount and any associated bonus winnings of a customer or a group of customers following suspicious betting patterns that could result in generating guaranteed profit. This suspicious activity might include, without being limited to, hedge betting or common betting patterns across identical events/markets/selections. Wagers below 1/2 (1.5) odds will result in bonus cancellation and cashback being confiscated.

General bonus terms apply. 2.3.11. The Operator reserves the right to perform enhanced due diligence in respect to withdrawals of funds not used for wagering and to review your behavior on the site and use of games for irregular gaming patterns.

The Company reserves the right to withhold and/or confiscate withdrawals in case the Player fails to pass due diligence or/ and the Company deems that irregular gaming pattern have occurred. We do apologise the case, but do must refer to the terms concerning the matter as it can't be changed for one player. In case you wish to inquire further about this case, please do not hesitate to contact us a“

Now I think it is entirely unfair that they can add a bonus and that confiscate every penny in my account at the time. If the bonus was for £300 then the balance that was min should be £1,060 which I do not think they should be able to help themselves to.

Their terms and conditions seem totally unfair that they can just take everything in the account.

Please could you help me with this problem.

I don't think the terms you have posted even say they can cancel your winnings. Only the cashback and any winnings from that.

"Wagers below 1/2 (1.5) odds will result in bonus cancellation and cashback being confiscated."

Did you bet with the cashback money at all after it was credited?

If you send in a complaint form we can try approaching Fansbet for you.
