Hello everyone

On the 24th September 2024, while I wasn't even online, a fake bet (2900 euros) was put by someone else on my Orbit Exchange account on the following cricket game

England Women v India Women
Total Runs 133 1st Innings 30 Overs Line
Womens One Day Internationals |
Bet ID: 86290282

There is an odds disparity in the "My Bet" and "My Account Statement" section in my Orbit account , concerning that particular fake bet, as you can see in the following screenshots. The same bet is displayed with totally different odds in these sections. It looks shady and suspicious, don't you think?

Orbit Exchange is totally powered by Betfair, they display exactly the same markets as Betfair does , using Betfair's liquidity, but it is considered as a white label company. My account at Orbit Exchange was created by BetInAsia. I contacted with BetInAsia a couple of hours after I realised what had happened on my account and they promised to do their best to retrieve my funds. I have also asked them to provide me with a complete list of the IP addresses which logged in to my account on the 24th of September. Still no funds have been retrieved and also I haven't been sent that IPs' list which I have asked more than 40 days ago. BetInAsia is blaming Orbit for this inconvenience (I have saved all my emails and live chat with them).
On the other hand Orbit Exchange answered to my email saying Please do note that we don't have direct access to any customer's account, due to our business model that includes only working via agents. You should get in touch with your agent to report this case, and they will get in touch with Betfair's fraud department to do any checking's needed in your account.
So I contacted also with Betfair's live support and their agent answered I am completely confused as to why Orbit referred you to us. Your account is registered with Orbit and as such should be dealt with directly. There is nothing we can do about this as already reported. Please contact Orbit and follow this matter up with them.

As you can see, all the involved parties (Orbit, BIA, Betfair) are covering each other up and shifting blame. This is a clear case of fund passing. A scammer used my account to put a 2900 euros bet on a cricket game (!!!)while this bet was matched elsewhere, so my stolen funds were passed to the scammer's account. Orbit's license provider (Antillephone License Validation) hasn't answer to my email so far.

I would like to know if someone else has experienced something similar in the past. Also I would like to read some opinions about how should I proceed. I was stolen, it is a big amount of money and I don't want to give up.
I apologise for my long post and thank you for giving me the chance to share my case in your great forum.

Hello my friend and everyone
It is very sad to hear that exactly the same scam happened to another customer of Orbit/Betinasia as well... Betinasia declared that Orbit after a thorough investigation couldn't retrieve any funds because there was no fund passing noticed in my case, so they closed my case...It is really ridiculous from their side, because , although I have been asking for a complete list of IPs which logged in to my account (on that particular day) for more than 3 months, they put all the blame to my side saying that my credentials were compromised by scammers, because I hadn't logged in via the link they have provided me. It is 100% nonsense!! How they can claim that my credentials were compromised and at they same time they are not willing to provide me with the IP list which I have been asking since September...??? Of course they are hiding something and both sides, Orbit and Betinasia are covering each other's back in that case.
I am not giving back on this, maybe we could try to make our next steps as a team my friend. We were stolen in the worst way!

Boas pessoal.

Thanks Genie! It would be really nice if we could put all the involved parties (Betinasia and Orbit) under pressure , so they will give some serious answers and stop shifting the blame on their customers' side.
We are giving assistance mainly for Sportsbooks issues and not agent problems, but I will still ask our dispute to look at your complaints and see what we can do. Thanks

hello my friend. I have been dealing with this issue for more than 3 months. Orbit and BIA after investigation (that is what they say, of course they are covering each other's back) declared that there was no fund passing in my case, although one of their agents admitted in a live chat I had with him that there was fund passing. Also, they shifted the blame on my side, saying that my credentials were hacked because I have logged in to my Orbit account via a mirror site. That is 100% lies and I can prove it, by only saying that BIA and Orbit are not willing to provide me with the list of IP addresses which logged in to my Orbit account on the day that scam bet was put. According to GDPR legislation they are obliged to provide their customers with all the necessary data if their clients make a GPDR request.
I think that should be your next step, an informal GPDR data request to BIA and Orbit.
Unfortunately none of the ADR services will be able to help you. I have made complaint to IBAS, to ecogra, to thePogg, to Curacaoegaming, all of them told me that they are not dealing with Orbit customers. Also Betfair rejected all my requests to help me in this, because I haven;t any account at Betfair. Betfair's involvement could be a big help, but I didn't have any positive feedback from their side.

outro caso?
infelizmente está mais que visto que se trata realmente de um caso de fraude, e muito provavelmente será mesmo da BIA, porque repararei que andava a receber constantemente mails de alteração de senha, muito provavelmente seria pishing da parte deles.

Are there other people with the same problem ? Do you still bet with betinasia after that ? Were you profitable when that happened ? I made a withdrawal and the next day this robbery occurred.
Matt from bookmakersreview.com has informed me that there are some other similar cases with scam bets put from Orbit accounts. I cannot say that I was profitable when that happened, my only fault is that I kept a high balance on my Orbit account at that time which I should have transferred to my Orbit account earlier. But this doesn' t mean that I did anything wrong, accounts and customers should be protected against hackers and scammers. Yes, I still bet with Betinasia. I do not wish to harm them, I just want my founds back. It would be useful if you could post some screenshots from your Orbit account and the scam bet.
