Guys,

Football is almost over, but of course, we still want to see the contest going and continue our fun and activities. With all the brilliant minds we have here in this forum I know we can come up with good contest ideas and proposals.

I have searched the list of major sports events and anyone can post or PM me directly with your ideas/proposals and I can talk to our boss tomorrow to give incentives/rewards to the player with a successful proposal.

Definitely each of the Golf Majors.

Masters, US Open, British Open and PGA Championship

Maybe instead of having folks pick top 8 choices for example, where most people will have a lot of the same top ranked players in their lineup, we could have each person pick one player from a “tier”

For example. If the top 50 players in the world are entered in the Masters, the top 10 could be tier 1, top 11-20 be tier two, etc.

so each contest entry would choose one golfer from each of five “tiers” and then perhaps they’d get two or three wildcard Choices from the “rest of the field” or guys not available in the “tier” selections.

That way, folks would have a lot of different entries instead of so many players overlapping on entries

And then scoring could be total score of your best six golfers, or five golfers, or however we want to do it. If we pick 8 golfers. Five from the “tiers” and three wildcards. And say best six scores after the tourney make up your entry total. If you don’t have six make the cut, then you’d get some kind of high score or penalty

Just a thought

i was talking to @samsncharge99 about this, would you guys be interested in an Australian Open bracket style contest??
100%. All 4 major tennis events. It's 128 players and 2 brackets. Men's side and Women's. Just like NCAA 64 bracket with 1 extra round

I agree with BigJay on 4 Golf Major tournaments as well

Of course NCAA Bracket

Maybe NHL/NBA playoffs. Big winners and pick in how many games

Baseball....pick all division winners pre season

endless options and opportunities

All these ideas sound great, but if we need to sign up a new betting account from a sponsored book to join these contests. A lot of us here will not be able to participate.

Horse Racing contest idea (sorry about the format. I originally sent this in a PM and then copied and pasted it)

They are fun and you don’t have to be an expert to have fun picking the ponies.

Definitely need one for - Kentucky Derby Day as well as Breeders Cup combined Friday and Saturday (7 races with purse of $1 million each day).

Also I might add Preakness Contest in June and Belmont Day Contest in July.

I would say they are the 4 biggest racing days that most folks know pretty well.

It could be as simple as taking the entire racing card that day - Derby Day for example - and having people pick each race. Maybe have the actual Derby count 2x or 3x in tallying the points. Then do the points on a 5 points for a winner, 3 for place and 1 for show for each race.

For a Breeders Cup (which is kind of considered the super bowl of horse racing) you could combine the two days Friday and Saturday into one contest and give 2x or 3x points for the Breeders Cup classic race.

If and as these become more popular perhaps you could add other big racing days such as the $12 million Pegasus Day race in Florida and maybe even the likes of Melbourne Cup which I know is big down under.

Just a few thoughts.

thanks!
