last yr he earned $17.5m. i wonder how much his contract for next yr that he chooses to renew for another yr with the cardinals.

I don't know why but, I like this guy (Wainwright). He's like Nolan Ryan, will pitch until he can't see the plate anymore.

I must have bet on the Cardinals in half his starts this year.

He was mediocre at best. Get same production from a small time FA or AAA starter for 1/4 the price.

Weird STL would invest in this guy at a point in time where he has no WAR advantage

I admit I have bet many many times on Wainwright throughout his career. One of my favorite pitchers. Always gives his all. Very competitive and a winner. I'm not sure about his sticking around another year but we shall see.
