Morning Pierluigi, Just a short note about BODOG UK. I read in the Racing Post about their decision to withdraw from offering sports betting in the UK and opted to withdraw my residual cash balance, leaving me with one open position that I was assured would be honoured on settlement.
Using their live chat facility, I was told that the balance would be refunded to my account on 10th October. 2 months and several emails later, I'm still waiting, both BODOG and I know that the payment has not been made but still they persist in finding spurious reasons to slow/no pay me. I have clearly been lied to on a regular basis, I have been asked for bank statements from Oct 10th to date? Both Bodog and I know the payment has not been made (this was confirmed in an email they sent). What use could statements from late November/early December be anyway when the payment was 'made' on 10th October ? What are their reasons for asking for them?
Bodog are, at best, guilty of poor practice and of slow paying me (I suspect much worse) and I would like to warn other customers/potential customers of their conduct.
Best regards, DWS.

I have identical problem with them: also made a withdrawal on 10th October and I'm still waiting. Customer service is sending me only automatic e-mails. Be careful with any Bodog operations!!!

Further to my initial post, on Friday 14th December I was assured again by email that my BODOG balance would be refunded to my bank account on Tuesday (today). Naturally, after the many problems, I gave little, if any, credence to this, but I can confirm that I have been paid in full today. I would like to thank Pierluigi for assisting in this matter, bringing an end to this unsatisfactory episode. I have an outstanding ante-post bet (to be settled win/lose in May) but hopefully, if successful, I will not have to endure this level of service again.

I have now also been paid in full. No outstanding bets there, and site closed, so looks like I won't have to deal with their service in the future. Thank you Becky for assistance!

As a warning to everyone, I am again experiencing slow/non payment problems with BODOG UK. I had one outstanding bet at the time of this Company's closure, this has since won. I am again faced with slow payment and continual lies when attempting to deal with this abysmal Company. Pierluigi, I can send full details to you again, unsure if you or 'Bodog Becky' can assist, I'm sick of dealing with this Company and their lies.

Hi DWS, I'm so sorry to hear that you're still having payout issues. I don't seem to have your information on file so I'll get in touch with Pierluigi and be sure he passes on my contact information to you so we can get you paid out ASAP.

Thank you,
Becky

As an update, this matter has been handed over to another member of BODOG's staff. Despite assurances of this individual dealing with the matter, I am receiving irrelevant and incorrect emails and can see no end to this matter any time soon. I don't need someone to 'take ownership' of the delayed payout, I need someone to make it. This has not been done, despite being told on numerous occasions that it has. I pity anyone who has to deal with this Company.

@DWS – I very much hope you get your issue fixed. However, it would have been nice that between your initial problem with Bodog UK in December 2012 and now you could have contributed more to this forum. It is helpful to have negative feedback on operators, but also positive. I guess you are only interested in getting your problem sorted.

G-Man, yes, I would very much like to get this problem sorted. Initially I considered where to take this problem and thought that by highlighting this issue, it may also be of interest/assistance to readers of the forum. I checked first with Pier by email before initiating the topic. I follow both the Bookmakers review and Pier on Twitter so my interest is not limited to this issue. Indeed the amount is relatively small, it's the lies I struggle with, but your point is well made and accepted.

Bookmakers that don't pay and lie to their players are obviously of interest to the readers of Bookmakers Review and with Bodog I don't really have to do much as BodogBecky does everything (speaks to the customer service on behalf of the player), but in general I completely agree with G-Man.

The community is not taking off as I had originally envisioned, but what sports bettors fail to realize is that by reporting feedback and building an active community they would do a favour to themselves not to Bookmakers Review.

I strongly believe Bookmakers Review with its player reviews and pros and cons provides sports bettors a unique opportunity to influence ratings, which no other review sites provides.

If despite everything, sports bettors prefer to discuss online bookmakers on SBR because they can get points and arbers and matched bettors prefer more specialized forums to share their bookmaker information, so be it.

Pier, thanks for the enquiry and in answer to the question, no. As an update, more for readers of the forum (as the amount involved is not worth the time I have already spent on it), Bodog Becky's involvement put me into contact with 'John', who said that he was to handle the case. He at no stage managed anything useful or handled the case in any way, indeed after the opening email, I returned to being sent irrelevant, non-specific emails, purely for delaying purposes. This morning I received a somewhat amusing email with this paragraph forming part of it:

We understand that you'd like John to contact you and handle this situation but please note that due to the recent changes with our service structure, we're afraid that the mentioned agent won't be able to email you anymore.

This was as a response to me requesting that John send emails to me as he had promised, instead of the generic time delaying ones, often littered with mistakes and making little sense.
At this point, I can only reiterate the need for people to steer well clear of this Company. It's comfortably the worst betting experience I've had in over 30 years of betting.
