  • BET-IBC, Pinnacle, Betfair - questions

Can I bet on basketball matches both from my individual accounts on Pinnacle and Betfair + my account on Asianconnect88 SIMULTANEOUSLY? Would that be considered irregular or can be accepted??

Do Pinnacle and Betfair ever limit bettors and do they allow high deposit limits (up to 50,000 EUR) per single NBA/basketball match with LOW odds (say, 0,7 - 1,5)?

Finally, do any of the three mentioned require any turnover prior to withdrawal?

    Thanks
    Marko (newbie)

  • 1) Yes, you can have a direct account and an agent account. If you are a big timer and just want to be extra careful about it though, register at AC88 as a bitcoin only user and only access the pinbet88.com site using a VPN.

    2) Pinny is fine with huge deposits but if you do that with Betfair they will eventually ask you to prove you have the capacity to bet that much. Especially if you lose there.

    3) All require at least 1x turnover to withdraw and Pinny requires 3x rollover to avoid withdrawal fees.

    • Thanks, I appreciate!

Just a follow up question: I noticed Pinnacle and Bookmaker (possibly more bookies..) are reluctant to allow Moneyline for basketball matches with a clear favorite (and low odds) e.g. today the matches between Fenerbahce (home court) and Eskisehir in the Turkish Super League and tonight´s match between Rockets (home court) and Hawks in the NBA. Is this a common policy whereby bookies are insuring against losing money or just a coincidence...?

      Thanks in advance

I think thats not uncommon for big Money Lines, but am not a basketball bettor myself so don't know off the top of my head what odds see that happen or how common it really is.

I'll turn your question into a new thread and see if we can get some insight from someone who bets baskets daily.

          Thanks very much.

Just want to pursue the original thread about multiple accounts and your answers

As concerns the first - do you mean I can set up a personal account on, say, Pinnacle through a regular IP address and then create an agent one through BET-IBC and operate that only through VPN?? Is this correct?

As concerns the second - how can I prove to them I have "the capacity" to bet large sums......send them bank statement or??

You can operate a direct Pinny account and a BET-IBC agent account without a VPN. It is allowed. If you didn't understand why I mentioned maybe CHOOSING to use a VPN for your agent account, then you likely are not a big enough bettor to need to worry about that part.

Betfair hold licenses that enforce that they need to follow a bunch of guidelines to Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Responsible Gambling Protection (RGP).

Thye are not allowed to simply accept large deposits and let you lose large amounts without finding out if you are able to afford that. You may be an addict, you may be a drug dealer laundering money, you could be embezzling funds... or you could have a large income that can support it. There are multiple reasons why Betfair and properly licensed books are forced to take an interest in players who turn over large amounts. Tey can ask fro bank statements, pay slips, tax returns or pretty much anything they like to determine they are meeting their license obligations. It's not possible to tell you what they will ask for. If they dont believe you they might ask for more info and anything they think is relevant.

            • When they ask the question, what you tell them will determine what they ask to see.

People get themselves into bad situations by trying to say mind your own business or lying to start with... then being forced to prove the lie or lose the money.

Be careful depositng huge amounts. Not worth the aggravation unless you are a trust fund baby or similar and can clearly show 50k deposits are chicken feed to you.

              • Thanks!

I´m quite new to betting business but being an ardent basketball fan with all that implies (reading daily reports, analyses, rumors etc.) I´ve discovered I´m more than "solid" when it comes to betting on basketball....

Could you please clarify what you meant by "
If you didn't understand why I mentioned maybe CHOOSING to use a VPN for your agent account, then you likely are not a big enough bettor to need to worry about that part.".....

what amounts are we talking here? Over 50K EUR, 100K EUR....?

                • I just meant if you have been winning and making 50k deposits to fund your betting you would already understand the issues that might come up. Better than I would.

I also dont know what amount Pinny considers big time. 50k deposits would be common although still noticed I am sure.

For Betfair 50k deposits would almost certainly set off a flag and doing it over and again would probably result in questions being asked.

If you are just a knowledgeable bettor on big market events like NBA you probably don't have much to worry about though. If you lose a lot or bet obscure props or small markets that could be manipulated/fixed then you are more likely to be asked serious questions.

                  • Hi,Marko.I don't bet on basketball, but technically,if you have a really heavy favourite - say 1.1,then the underdog might be 7.5 - giving the bookie a margin of 4.3 %.So the bookie's margin there would be nearly half the winning takeout on the favourite [which is only 9.09 %] .In a soccer match where the favourite is as short as 1.1,you generally get better value on a betting exchange, even after paying 5% commission [provided there is a liquid market on such games].This is because 5% of your winnings is still a lot less than nearly 50% of the takeout.
So I think it unlikely that bookmakers do not offer moneyline betting where the favourite is heavy odds-on because they are afraid of punters backing the favourite in such games. It is more likely that handicap betting is more popular with the punters in those games.

                    • Does this math apply to all basketball levels? Is this different for NBA compared to say NCAA or Olympic basketball?

                      • The math applies to all betting - including all basketball betting.

Would you know any other bookies except Pinnacle, Pinbet88, Bookmaker (and to a lesser degree Betfair) that 1. do not limit high winning bettors 2. accept large deposits on low-odd basketball matches? I´m pretty sure no Euro bookie qualifies here, but what about others??

As for moneylines on low-odd basketball matches - it is nowadays more of a rule than exception that those are not offered...for whatever reasons. Just check bookmaker, pinnacle...

                          Thanks

You can ask BET-IBC to their platform VIP-IBC. My friends advised this platform.
