Hi!

First of all, excuse for my not perfect english. I use a broker Bet-ibc which allow me to use Betfair. I live in France and french bookmaker's odds are very low !
Last time, I had a problem with the cash-out system of betfair and on the software (API) too. (It was not the first time, but I cannot accept each time that they take my money in total impunity :))
So I contact my broker "Bet-ibc support" (which is not so good as you can imagine, and I have proofs with their strange or agressive messages).
I transmit and explain my problem : Any answer ! (we pay 3% fee for their services !)
I asked later if they have transmitted my question/problem...? ( for information, I ask them just 1 time before to transmit an issue with Betfair 6 months ago)
I never saw that before !!
And what a joke ! They CLOSED my account saying that if I'm not happy, it's the same thingh ! Incredible but real !
How can they do such thingh (I was an old customer) ? It's really a shame !
Eventhough, they can close an account when they want as they said, in my opinion, they have to give an advice or something like that, otherwise it's an abuse !

So for any real reason, I have no Betfair account yet and they are only to provide Bf's account for stranger customer. There is another one but it's more than € 500 to open an account and if I don't know this broker you understand that I am a bit chilly ! :)

I'm not fan of Matchbook (fast any live). And Betdaq now any possibility to open an account with them I believe.

Do u think that I have to do a complain or may be you know other broker or bookmakers that accept french people !

Thanks a lot !

I don't use betting brokers myself, so am not well placed to comment or advise. There are, however, other brokers who accept customers from France, for example Sportmarket Pro (www.sportmarket.com). I've never used them (they don't accept customers from the UK in any case), but the reviews of them I've seen are quite favourable, so you might want to have a look at their site.

Ok thanks for your answer but they don't give the sum to deposit to open a BF account for example. May be ask the support ? and you cannot choose your book as I have understand, they only give the "best" odds... If I want to trade only I don't know if it possible.
My other question was to report the (big) abuse of Bet-ibc and if BR can ask if I can have my BF's account again. ("may be they "give" my account to a new customer who can trade more money!, so it would be a real abuse...")

Maybe I've been wrong all these years, but I've always thought betting brokers existed to enable players to place large bets at the best possible odds. I didn't think betting brokers were there to allow players to operate individual accounts with a particular bookmaker, which seems to have been the arrangement you had with Bet-ibc.

Quincunx, can you shed any light on this?

;), ok Trevrizent, I am not alone to think that it's possible... In that case, as I have asked, can BR contact Bet-ibc to report this abuse because this is the real problem for me and give my account back. Shall I contact someone specialized ?

You need to make a complaint against Bet-ibc via disputes@bookmakersreview.com and then BMR will try to assist you with this problem.

Quincunx, who is a regular contributor to this forum, has far more experience of betting brokers than I have and might be able to offer you some advice as well.

Sorry,Trevrizent,Gino1,I had not spotted this thread earlier.Betting brokers generally allow you to open an account with Asian-type bookies such as IBCbet,SBObet,Pinnacle and Singbet. They work off low commission which is paid by the bookies - typically less than one percent.Sportmarket are slightly different - as Gino1 says they offer a platform which allows you to place bets at the best of odds offered by a variety of bookies - but they don't allow you to open individual accounts.Asianconnect does both, but neither they nor Sportmarket offer Betfair odds.Perhaps Premiumtradings do.Gino1,you don't make it clear why Bet-Ibc closed your Betfair account, but unfortunately, nobody can make them offer you their sevices if they choose not to.
N.B. I don't think this applies in your case, but some bookies have software that can detect if you are operating an account from a country which is barred [various bookies don't accept bets from countries that create problems for them, such as the USA and the UK].

Happy to help,Trevrizent.Gino1,I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful to you.Bear in mind that betting brokers don't earn that much in commission. So if you don't bet that much, you need to make sure you aren't creating too much work/hassle for them. You have to avoid too much use of their customer service, and too many small withdrawals and deposits.I'm just guessing why they might have closed your account,so if that's not the reason, sorry again.

@quincunx thx for yr answer but I was a correct customer for 2 years and I bet regulary with corrects sums. If they accept me at the beginning, they don't have to find a ridiculous excuse to close yr account as and when they want. It's too easy and...illegal, because it is clearly abusive !
And do you read, that they dare sending me ads to place bet although they have fired my account. They are furthermore incompetents !
Sorry, I don't have to consider if they remunate them 1% on each bet or sthing else... It's not my problem ! Closing an old account just for suspicious reason that I have asked 1 or 2 times to tranfer an issue during my trading is normal ? It's an abuse for me. I won't give my money each time if there is a big issue that you can see on their website !
You have to know that each time you deposit it also was 3%... and I was customer for a long time so it's not my problem if they don't want do a MINIMAL work (just transfer a message, 30 seconds ! lol). On the other hand if they don't want, they just have to say that they don't transfer message, it would have been clear !
Here,it is not the case : their action is an (big) abuse for me that people have to know !!
In France, because of fees we have to bet with a broker, but if when you ask a question one time, they close your account, it's an abuse, I'm sorry... They don't have to do that, because in their conditions it is not written that you have to place or bet minimum tha x dollars/€/pounds etc...
So a complain would be appreciate to stop these abuses and try recover my BF account.

BR,
The link that Trevizent gave to me is to use to report an abuse and as for the help of BMR ?

Hi,again,Gino1.As I said, sorry if I was guessing wrong. In that case,I have no idea why Bet-IBC closed your account.
It may be silly, but it is not illegal,as they will have reserved the right to do that.So I am afraid that you actually have no legal cause for complaint,as unfair as that may seem.
As regards the advertising, that is actually not unusual.I have been severely restricted by 188bet for years now,but they still email me promos, which costs them nothing.
Sorry again that I was unable to be more helpful.

Quincunx is right, Gino. I don't think there is any point in making a complaint to BMR as Bet-ibc haven't actually done anything wrong (as long as you aren't owed any money as a result of them closing your Betfair account). I think you should draw a line under this now and try to find an alternative broker.

Ok it may be not really "illegal", but I repeat, it is a "big" abuse.
I explain :
I wish just, as will any person in the legal or lawyer that, in the present context, their clause becomes abusive and that closing is abusive and is prejudiced because they allowed themselves to do that just in time for Euro 2016 (and as French people it is difficult to open an account).
Furthermore, Quincunx, ok, you were restricted with 188bet but your account was not fired without reason, it is a bit different. And ads...They are ridiculous to do that I mean and can prove that they are incompetent taking such strange decision... I believe you understand that it is something discrediting them !

@Trevrizent, ok but read my post. I understand what you mean but you don't seem to see the abusive and ridiculous character of the closing. And I repeat, they may be other broker not a lot and they have a lot of conditions to open an account.
Then if you think I have to draw a line under this, I wish you best of luck if you can trade with BF ! ;)

Hi Gino,

It sounds like you have just annoyed someone in there and they have decided to punish you.

A polite email asking them to reconsider and re-open your betfair account is probably your best chance.

No use being mad at them or trying to say they are abusing you. They aren't. They are allowed to not service anyone for any reason they like and being one of the 20% of people who cause 80% of their work is not an uncommon reason.

Hi Mr Brad!

First, as I explained,I have asked the reason. There is any real reason just saying "if I'm not happy..." (it is written on my differents posts I have asked to transfer a message to BF because of an issue on the website, it's not so hard, isn't it ? lol) That was only 2 or 3 times in the year... so when you wrote 80% of their work concerning the 20 % people that they contact them for an issue ? I think they do almost nothing fo the customer when there is an issue with the book.
But, if it is the case, they have to explain that. It's a lack of communication from them not from me... We pay 3% commission for deposit and withdraw and 1% commission on each transactions to become... that ? It's a joke ? ;)
When I ask them to re-open the account because they were sending me ads, I explained that I cannot when someone close my account (to play ? it's a game, may be ? ;)) : No answer, so I have tried... (I explained that I have asked to re-open with normal words).
If they have problems of management and organisation, no problem, I can help them, I have a diploma within. You cannot imagine the behavior of people without knowing what was the matter and how they answered. In my opinion, they have lack of communication and organisation, that's all, and I have send my email when it was not the moment. But I cannot know that and it's not professional from them, that all, that's why I would report this abuse...

I agree that they should be able to help you but sometimes when it comes to agents it's not simple for them. They are just customers too and as part of their agreement they are to provide the support services and not pass too many queries on to the books own support.

Other brokers specifically say they will not query bet gradings or any other issue with the book for you in their terms.

Also, you are dealing with Asian cultural differences sometimes. They do tend to cut people for simply annoying them more than Euro books would.

Anyway, I did not mean to say you deserve being cut off. Was trying to suggest the best way to get the account back.

Hi!
"<p>Also, you are dealing with Asian cultural differences sometimes. They do tend to cut people for simply annoying them more than Euro books would.</p>"

Yes, I have heard from that (culture... culture of what in fact ;)) Excuse me, but it's amazing because when you do mistake in your company or a bad work in China, they "cut your hand" isn't it ?
So with customers people, they "stole" all money they want when their site has issues, but...no problem. As I said very good for their brand LOL (and good brand = money ! ;))
In my opinion, some companies have simply to be in touch with management as I said : How doing with technology (when there is an issue), money, and customer.
I have a lot of difficulties in understanding (I am not alone) that you pay them for a service, it is worth... you ask "what is the matter ? They cut off your account ! Easy, very easy no ?... if you do that in China... humm !
In the future, special companies will have to follow them ! Why not BMR ?

I would have appreciated to submit a complaint with this company. Unfortunately, it was not possible.
