Jesse Strader vs. Chad Anheliger

UFC Bantamweight Preliminary Card Bout

Saturday, February 19, 2022 – 10:05 PM EST at UFC Apex

Strader vs. Anheliger Betting Pick Analysis

Canadian native Chad Anheliger (11-5-0) makes his long-awaited UFC debut after competing as a professional mixed martial artist for over ten years.

Having avoided defeat for eight years, the UFC newcomer has strung together an impressive 9-fight win streak on the regional MMA scene and will enter this weekend's contest as a heavy betting favorite.

Jesse Strader (5-2-0) is the younger and larger fighter of the two. Still, when making his promotional debut versus Montel Jackson last year, an apparent lack of professional MMA experience was presented.

The lack of in-cage activity is a severe concern for Strader, and suffering a vicious knockout loss on his arrival to the UFC doesn't bode well for his future inside the promotion.

UFC Vegas 48 Parlay Prediction

Strader has some excellent technical boxing abilities, but his fight IQ doesn't give me confidence in his ability to survive in the UFC roster.

After an imposing win over Muin Gafurov on Dana Whites Contender Series, Anheliger is arguably fighting a significantly lower level of opponent in Strader. I believe the debuting fighter can outwork Strader in all areas, and the potential of a knockout isn't off the cards.

The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review rarely favor a debutant. Still, I think we all realize that the UFC matchmakers are gifting Anheliger a less than complicated contest on his arrival to the company.

Mario Bautista vs. Jay Perrin

UFC Bantamweight Bout

Saturday, February 19, 2022 – 10:05 PM EST at UFC Apex

Mario Bautista vs. Jay Perrin Betting Pick Analysis

Mario Bautista (8-2-0) suffered his first two professional defeats since joining the UFC roster, but pitting the MMA Lab prospect from Glendale, Arizona, versus the top-ranked Cory Sandhagen on his promotional debut was the most demanding test he could've faced.

Since that loss, Bautista has won two bouts whilst giving up a knockout loss in his previous bout to Trevin Jones. Notably, Bautista looked great until getting caught with a vicious lead uppercut from Jones. Aged 28, his future is bright, and you can't count him out yet.

Jay Perrin (10-4-0) will make his UFC on Saturday following a two-fight win streak on the MMA regional scene. He notably lost the opportunity of a UFC contract in 2019, losing to Dwight Joseph on Dana Whites Contender Series.

Perrin has been matched with a difficult opponent in attempts to kickstart a positive tenure under the UFC umbrella, hence the wide gap in odds found at most of the top-rated sportsbooks

UFC Vegas 48 Parlay Prediction

I believe it would take another shock knockout or a series of unfortunate events for Bautista to lose this bout. Originally scheduled to face Khalid Taha, Bautista is now receiving a lower level of competition in a fight where he should reign supreme in all facets of the game.

The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review opened with Bautista as the heavy betting favorite, and we cannot argue the price available.
