UFC Women’s Featherweight Main Card Bout
Saturday, November 13, 2021 – 10:05 PM EST at the UFC Apex Center
With a mere three contests under her wing, Felicia Spencer (8-3-0) was skyrocketed into title contention upon her arrival to the UFC talent pool. I believe this should be factored into our breakdown when she’s facing a promotional debutant this Saturday in Vegas.
Canadian-born Spencer has a losing record since joining the company, but let us be frank, Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes are two of the most talented women’s martial artists on the planet. Spencer taking this experience and notably going to the distance with both of these respective champions is valuable time spent in the octagon.
Leah Letson (5-1-0) will be thrown into the deep end when making her promotional debut this weekend, and it’s a two-year layoff and an elite-level contest that should undoubtedly worry the gamblers taking a chance on her success.
Letson could potentially own a striking advantage, as she’s most known for her kickboxing skillset. With that said, a lack of octagon activity and a matchup versus a high-level grappler doesn’t bode well for the Wisconsin native.
UFC Parlay Prediction: Felicia Spencer to Win at (-315 )with BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)
How can we ignore Spencer’s chances of victory? Although I don’t enjoy a -315 price tag, it’s difficult to ignore the opposite career paths of these two fighters. Spencer’s experience alone will present Letson with multiple problems she hasn’t yet faced during her professional tenure with lesser-known promotions – and then she’ll have to contest with Spencer’s explosive grappling offense that’s levels above her own.
The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review opened with Spencer as the significant betting favorite, and I agree entirely.
UFC Lightweight Main Card Bout
Saturday, November 13, 2021 - 10:04 PM EST at the UFC Apex Center
28-year-old Marc Diakiese (14-4-0) has been building his UFC experience for the previous six years; the English-born athlete presents a well-rounded set of skills and has unquestionably evolved within his time spent at the top. Predominantly a striker, Diakiese has also presented a grappling offense that can pose additional threats alongside his technical kickboxing.
Rafael Alves (19-10-0) made his UFC debut earlier this year, and despite having Ismagulov on wobbly legs, he was eventually outclassed by the 22-1 fighter to a unanimous decision loss. Alves presents a kill or be killed approach to his contests, explaining his 10 professional career losses. However, a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu could present some serious dangers to his opponent.
The available UFC odds with Bookmakers Review favor Diakiese, and I believe it’s the technical striking and higher output that should assist the favorite in taking a unanimous decision. He’ll want to completely avoid a grappling exchange while weathering Alves’ early storm, but in the stand-up area, Alves doesn’t present much outside of some telegraphed hooks and power strikes.
UFC Parlay Prediction: Marc Diakiese to Win at (-248) with BetOnline
