In an absolutely stacked card, we have UFC 274 this weekend with two title belts on the line. First up in the co-main event, Rose Namajunas will be defending her belt against Carla Esparza.
Following in the main event, Charles Oliveira will find himself defending his belt once again inside the octagon, but this time against an incredible beast in Justin Gaethje. Now, outside of those two amazing title bouts, there still lies a ton of value inside the undercard.
So, without further ado, read below for my UFC best bets.
UFC Women’s Flyweight Bout – Early Preliminary Card
Saturday, May 7, 2022 – 05:30 PM EDT at the Footprint Center
Tracy Cortez is an American mixed martial artist with a professional record of 9 wins (1 T/KO, 1 Submission, 7 Decisions) and 1 loss (1 Submission).
Cortez is primarily a grappler, but not as much a fight finisher. She will wear down on her opponents and is capable of suffocating them until the scorecards. Cortez is currently on a 9-fight win streak and will be making her fourth UFC octagon appearance Saturday night.
Melissa Gatto is a Brazilian mixed martial artist with a professional record of 8 wins (2 T/KO, 4 Submissions, 2 Decisions), no losses, and 2 draws.
Gatto, like Cortez, is a submission artist, but I would say her strengths on the mat and ability to finish a fight will outweigh Cortez. Gatto has made two UFC appearances so far, and both fights have been finished by T/KO inside the distance against Victoria Leonardo and Sijara Eubanks.
The UFC odds for this matchup are Tracy Cortez -140 and Melissa Gatto +120 at your top-rated sportsbooks.
As much as I support Cortez as a martial artist, I will have to give this one to Gatto and her underdog value. I expect this to be a match on the ground, especially since that is Cortez’s go-to. Gatto is not afraid to switch levels and could easily tangle her up and make her tap.

Gatto doesn’t have the sharpest striking, but it has shown improvements over her past couple of bouts; look at her victory over Sijara Eubanks. That victory is what’s most impressive to me, plus Gatto has clearly shown power in her striking, as seen in her two previous T/KO victories.
For me, again, the dog value is perfect for Gatto here as I can see her winning this bout by submission.

UFC Welterweight Bout - Preliminary Card
Saturday, May 7, 2022 - 08:00 PM EDT at the Footprint Center
Randy “Rude Boy” Brown is a Jamaican mixed martial artist with a professional record of 14 wins (6 T/KO, 5 Submissions, 3 Decisions) and 4 losses (2 T/KO, 1 Submission, 1 Decision)
Brown is a well-rounded fighter that uses a wide range in his striking to keep his opponents guessing, including elbows and knees. Brown is also capable of switching levels and making his opponents tap.
Kalinn “Khaos” Williams is an American mixed martial artist with a professional record of 13 wins (7 T/KO, 1 Submission, 5 Decisions) and 2 losses (2 Decisions).
Khaos is a very durable, powerful striker that is capable of knocking anyone down that stands in his way.
The oddsmakers have Randy Brown at +100 and Khaos Williams -120. Although the dog-value on Brown is tempting due to his edge when it comes to grappling, I am still going to side with the power behind Williams.

If Brown is capable of bringing the fight to the ground, then I could see him wearing down on Williams, maybe even tie him up. However, the reason why I am not backing him is because of the explosive, powerful combinations Williams has to offer.
At any moment standing, especially during a takedown attempt, Williams can and will connect. I see this fight ending early with Williams and his granite fists coming out victorious.
