Grammy-nominated country artist Shaboozey will headline FanDuel’s Kentucky Derby Party at the Paristown Arts and Entertainment District in Louisville, Kentucky.
The nation’s most popular mobile sports betting brand, FanDuel, recently announced that country music sensation Shaboozey will headline its invitation-only Kentucky Derby party to be held at the Paristown Arts and Entertainment District in Louisville on May 2nd.
The Woodbridge, Virginia native made history last year when his smash hit, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” tied Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” at 19 weeks atop Billboard’s Hot 100. Needless to say, the 29-year-old artist is excited to perform the night before horse racing’s most iconic event.
“It’s one of those bucket list events you dream about playing, and we’ll be bringing serious vibes to Louisville with FanDuel.”
Andrew Moore, General Manager of Racing at FanDuel, said in a news release, “The Kentucky Derby is a celebration of tradition, energy, and unforgettable moments. Horse racing is where FanDuel’s journey began, and it remains a central part of who we are as a company. Between the iconic FanDuel party and our donation to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, we’re looking forward to making FanDuel’s presence in Louisville known.”
FanDuel has been working with the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) for five years and announced a $100,000 donation to the charitable group that rehomes thoroughbred horses after their race days are over.
FanDuel TV announced that it will be broadcasting each prep race before the 151st Kentucky Derby begins and will have wall-to-wall coverage of the events leading up to it.
Journalism is currently a 3-1 favorite heading into the 20-horse field at the 2025 Kentucky Derby. The three-year-old bay colt was sired by Curlin, a horse whose Triple Crown resume shows a third-place finish in the 2007 Kentucky Derby followed by a win at the Preakness and ultimately second in the Belmont.
In Journalism’s five races, he boasts four wins, with his latest being first to the finish line at the Grade 1 Stakes Santa Anita Derby on April 5th of this year.
The only other two Derby entries in single digits are Sandman and Sovereignty, both currently being offered at 8-1 odds. Some of the midrange entries are Rodriguez (10-1), Tappan Street (10-1), Burnham Square (15-1), and Luxor Café (15-1).
