Their efforts in making it this far into the tournament can be applauded, they have simultaneously become the first African and Arabian team to make it into the World Cup quarter-finals and to the semi-finals.
Morocco lost 2-0 to France in the semi-finals, and they put up a strong performance, at one point looking like they would tie things up at 1-1. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be, but Morocco still has the chance to claim a third-place prize.
With the team's unlikely success many of their starting eleven are starting to become a lot more noticed by bigger clubs, with rumors circulating already around numerous players and transfer fees.
Croatia
Croatia has done well to make it this deep into the tournament considering they struggled to win games, only beating Canada in regulation time. Three of their six games have ended in a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation.
The penalty shootout specialists never had the opportunity to take their semi-finalist opponents Argentina that deep into the game with Lionel Messi and co-stomping to a relatively easy 3-0 victory.

These two teams already met in the groups' stage, and the match ended in a 0-0 tie with few attempts on goal. It was a very cagey affair as it was both teams' first game of the tournament and up against a relatively unknown opponent.
Now three weeks later, broken, beaten, and scared they go head to head once again and we believe this game will see goals and we are loving both teams to score at World Cup odds of -130.

This is a repeat of the last 16 matchup in 2018, a game in which France won 4-3. It was a very feisty affair as the game also ended with eight yellow cards.
Like many predicted, France has breezed their way into the finals having beaten Poland, England, and Morocco to make it into their second finals in back-to-back World Cups. France is looking to become the first team in 60 years to win back-to-back World Cups.
France has been dealing with an in-house illness which kept a number of players out for the semi-finals, let’s hope they will have their best eleven available to play on the day.
Argentina
The Argentinians last made it to the World Cup finals in Brazil in 2014, so both this year’s finalists have been in the previous two World Cup finals. That being said, Argentina fans wish to forget about that game as they lost to Germany 1-0 in extra time.
Lionel Messi has stated this will be his final World Cup swansong, whatever happens. Many neutrals would love to see Messi lift the World Cup in his final attempt to do so, although they do face a formidable opponent in this France team.
Argentina seemed destined to be here after their quarter-final close call in which they were 2-0 up and comfortably winning against the Netherlands but ultimately had to settle the game during a penalty shootout.
It’s been 20 years since a South American team last lifted the World Cup and it’s been 36 years since Argentina last lifted the trophy.

Six of the previous 8 World Cup finals have been a tie at halftime. With it being a final, many teams chose not to open up and seek an early goal. Although, the last time out France battered Croatia 4-1.
