Ilir Latifi Cashes as +155 Underdog at UFC Vegas 28
If you joined us last week for our UFC in Vegas 28 value plays, you’d be happily counting your profits from the weekend as the wrestling accolades of Ilir Latifi put Tanner Boser to work in a close split decision win for the Swedish fighter.
Tanner Boser was evidently the formidable striker of the two. Still, his inability to prevent the two-time national wrestling champion from utilizing the grappling skillset he possesses was enough for Latifi to walk away with a closely fought split decision win.
Rozenstruik Dominates Sakai with a Round 1 TKO
Our second value play from UFC in Vegas 28 was also a positive result. Following a handful of ups and downs, the Suriname native returned to the win column with vicious forward pressure he lacked during his Ciryl Gane loss.
With one second left on the clock, a barrage of strikes left Augusto Sakai in a slump, and the Brazilian was unable to continue with stars hovering above his head.
Baeza vs. Ponzinibbio Undoubtedly Take Fight of the Night Honors
The events fight of the night $50,000 bonus was awarded to Miguel Baeza and Santiago Ponzinibbio, and we couldn’t agree more on this decision.
Both men left it all in the octagon, swinging for the fences from the 1st minute until the 15th. Whilst Jairzinho Rozenstruik certainly stole the show in performance, the most entertaining fight was between the American and Argentinian striker, with a war that’ll be remembered for years to come.
Next week we’re gifted with two title championship fights and a 5-round main event warmup worthy of the main event position on its own.
