The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the Apex in Vegas with a sleeper fight night card that us bettors can get behind!
Ribovics, Brener, Zaleski, and Magny are involved in two main card bangers, and I’m seeing some serious betting value up for grabs at top sportsbooks.
Let’s waste no more time and dive right into my favorite UFC Vegas 108 main card analysis and predictions.
UFC Vegas 108 Event Information
- Date & Time: Saturday, August 2, 2025 – 06:00 PM EDT
- Location: UFC Apex, Las Vegas
- Scheduled Fights: 12
- Main Event: Tatsuro Taira vs. Hyun Sung Park (UFC Flyweight Bout)
Esteban Ribovics vs. Elves Brener
UFC Lightweight Main Card Bout
Esteban Ribovics
He is back in the octagon for a classic battle of South America’s finest this weekend, and boy, we’re excited for his return. With a whopping 8.08 significant strikes average, the Argentine fan favorite returns from a FOTN performance versus Nasrat Haqparast, but will be hoping to return to the win column in a clash of warriors we know will bring the heat.
- Ribovics Pro MMA Record: 14-2
- Ribovics KOs: 7
- Ribovics Submissions: 5
Elves Brener
What makes Ribovic’s return more exciting is the fact that he’s fighting Elves Brener. Don’t let the 16-5 record shade your judgment because this Brazilian is a savage once the cage door closes, as he’s guaranteed to put on a show in victory or defeat.
- Brener Pro MMA Record: 16-5
- Brener KOs: 3
- Brener Submissions: 11
Ribovics vs. Brener: Fight Tape Analysis
As previously mentioned, Ribovic’s striking game is something else, particularly his volume. His ridiculous amount of strikes thrown per round has been a constant throughout his career. While his takedown defense has a lot to be desired, he’s no slouch in the BJJ department and certainly knows how to get back to his feet and engage in a kickboxing war where he’s most comfortable.
Looking at Brener, his jiu-jitsu prowess is a problem for anyone. But here’s the problem: this guy can’t help but go to war! Perhaps this is something to do with his subpar wrestling offense, but either way, he isn’t going to hang around on the feet and hunt takedowns because the dog in him has regularly produced a strike-fest in bouts.
UFC Vegas 108 Main Card Odds & Prediction
With everything considered, I don’t believe Brener has the capability of keeping this fight grounded, and therefore, he’ll be playing in Ribovics’ world. With so much aggression and a vicious striking offense from the Argentine, I do believe he can get his Brazilian foe with a finishing sequence, whether it’s a straight knockout, TKO, or club and sub.
The UFC odds place Ribovic as the betting favorite, and although the pricing isn’t overly juiced, we’re backing the ITD prop in support of him snatching a stoppage victory. At +145, Ribovics Inside the Distance (1u returns 1.45u profit) is worth the wager.
Neil Magny vs. Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos
UFC Vegas 108 Welterweight Main Card Bout
Neil Magny
He is a true UFC veteran with 34 octagon appearances to his name. Unfortunately, when pitted against dangerous strikers of late, the 37-year-old has become somewhat of a punching bag. While the level of opposition has consistently been elite, you can’t help but worry about his win potential moving forward.
- Magny Pro MMA Record: 29-13
- Magny KOs: 8
- Magny Submissions: 4
Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos
Much like Magny, Zaleski dos Santos is an OG of the sport, and age (38) isn’t on his side. However, I don’t see as many warning signs in his recent fights as I do in his opponent’s, especially in the realm of speed, which can be a crucial attribute for aging fighters in their later years.
- Zaleski Pro MMA Record: 25-9-1
- Zaleski KOs: 15
- Zaleski Submissions: 3
Magny vs. Zaleski: Fight Tape Analysis
How many times have we seen Magny pop the jab and circle, mix up some cage control and grappling before winning on the judges’ scorecards? It’s been a staple of his career, and while he’s certainly an expert in the realm of MMA fundamentals, the damage he’s taken of late in combination with a clear decline in reactionary movements is a red flag I don’t believe we can longer support.
Don’t get me wrong, Zaleski is no spring chicken himself, but he undoubtedly holds the more aggressive nature in this bout. He has knockout power, blistering leg kicks, and a grappling game that could match or even exceed that of Magny.
I don’t know whether to expect fireworks in this one or a boring, closely fought decision. Still, either way, I don’t envision Magny being able to keep this fight at range for 15 minutes due to a lack of threat or having enough control time to stop the Brazilian from having the bigger moments.
UFC Vegas 108 Main Card Odds & Prediction
The UFC pricing place Zaleski as the betting favorite, and given the state of Magny’s recent performances, this comes as no surprise.
With that said, -185 isn’t a bad price whatsoever, and if Magny’s chin looks anything like it has in his previous two bouts, he could be in a world of trouble. We’re placing our bet on Zaleski moneyline at -185 (1.85 returns 1u profit).
