The Panthers will likely be fade material for the masses this week after their 25-3 clunker against the Giants last week. Contrast that with the Falcons’ 30-28 win over the Dolphins and the public will look at the relatively small number the dirty birds are laying in this one like ham on Swiss.
However, after perusing the NFL odds, we see that the Carolina Cats are still getting a solid +3 across the board. This looks like a golden opportunity to grab a live dog here because Carolina will be a much different team this week than last. Sam Darnold, who wilted under the Giants pass rush, will have ample time to find his talented targets as the Falcons defensive line and secondary are anemic. Let’s grab the field goal head start and cash a ticket!

The Eagles will bounce back from a 33-22 loss to the Raiders, a game in which Derek Carr could do very little wrong and continued to pick apart the Philadelphia secondary. This week the Eagles will have a much different offense coming at them and one that struggles to score points either on the ground or through the air.
I expect Jalen Hurts to have an outstanding game in this one and it is not surprising that the Eagles are favored by over a field goal, on the road, because the team they are facing allows 28.6 points per game and scores just 18.3. Even that doesn’t thoroughly depict how inept the Lions are which is why this play is more of a fade of Detroit than a ringing endorsement of the Lions.

Here we have a tale of two franchises. The Bengals are emerging as one of the best teams in the AFC while the Jets are replicating their years of futility once again this season. New York plucked their latest savior from the draft but even the best jockeys come last when riding a nag.
However, Cincinnati is coming off of a statement win over their divisional rivals from Baltimore. It was a 41-17 trouncing and now they are looking ahead to another bitter AFC North rival, the Cleveland Browns.
This has all the markings of the proverbial trap game. The Jets are woeful but they will have a new man under center with Wilson on the sidelines and it appeared as though this offense moved better without Zach Wilson than with him in the Jets’ 54-13 loss to the Patriots.
We are getting plenty of bang for our betting buck and although you may have to hold your nose while making this pick, it could be well worth the inconvenience. Back the Jets with the generous head start in this one.
