It’s been a while since we last had some European World Cup Qualifiers (almost 4 months). We are now heading into the final phase of the 2022 qualifying campaign and there is still a lot of strong teams in Europe looking to book their place in the finals, most notable the current European Championship holders Italy, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
Let’s break down the betting odds for three of the games on Thursday and cash a +250 parlay.

They were beaten by Serbia in aggregate during the final group stage match, a result which has cost them an automatic place in the World Cup, and they now go through the scary prospect of knockout football just to get to Qatar. No doubt their manager who has been in charge since 2014 will be looking for a reaction from his players as this is most likely his last campaign in charge of his nation.

Turkey finished a respectable 2nd behind the Netherlands in their group and with this group of players they will feel they have a chance to cause an upset, although their recent form hasn’t been ideal preparation.
They lost all 3 group games in Euro 2020 and were smashed by the Netherlands 6-1 and although they won their previous 3 games, it took a 99th minute Burak Yilmaz goal to claim a win over Latvia and a home win over Gibraltar was always a gimme.
We obviously like Portugal here but -350 is way too low to be adding to any parlay, the under 3.5 goals here seems like some good value to add to our parlay. We might be laying -250 and these teams do tend to score goals but remember playoff games are always tight and this one could be a very cagey affair. Portugal to win 2-1 or 3-0.

Sweden had a relatively easy World Cup qualification group and their route to finishing in second place and having through the playoffs was almost a certainty from the moment the draw was made. They would be beaten by Spain and finish ahead of Georgia, Greece, and Kosovo. They do however boast a very impressive home record having won 11 of the previous 12 on home soil.

The Czech Republicans advanced through being one of the top points scorers outside of the top 2 in each group. Their group included Belarus, Estonia, Belgium, and Wales. This Czech Republic team is quite good, but they are going to be without their main man up top in Patrik Schick.
Schick is currently sidelined with an injury. This gives Sweden a double edge advantage having home soil and their opposition's main threat unavailable, let’s take the Swedish to at least draw and over 1.5 goals in the match. This should be a very interesting match, two very evenly matched teams come head to head here, but we will have to give Wales to the slight edge as they are the home team. The Welsh crowd really gets behind their fans and they are VERY strong at home having lost just 3 of their previous 20 games on home soil. They scored in 16 of those previous 20 matches.
Meanwhile, Austria has only won 2 of their previous 6 away games, although they had a good spell before that, recent games haven’t been so kind. They are only this far in the qualification stage because of their positive result in the UEFA Nations League.
We predict Wales will win this one 1-0 but we will gladly take any scoreline once Wales gets on the scoreboard.
