Orlando City is riding the momentum of a two-game winning streak into Friday’s date with Inter Miami, The Lions will be looking to capitalize on Inter Miami’s poor run of form as the hosts have dropped three on the trot and are desperate to get their season back on track.
Orlando City is coming off a convincing 5-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes on the road. The Lions opened the scoring seven minutes into the game with Nani’s penalty kick and they never looked back as they heaped a ton of misery on the hosts. Daryl Dike scored a brace and Benji Michel – not to be outdone – scored a brace too. The victory on Wednesday comes on the heels of a 3-2 win over Toronto at home a few days earlier. Overall, Orlando is second in the Eastern Conference table with a 5-3-1 mark and 18 points, five points adrift of leaders New England.
Inter Miami have lost to Chicago Fire and D.C. United (twice) by a combined score of 5-0. The fact that the Herons were shutout in all three matches is cause for concern and doesn’t bode well against a side that just decimated the Earthquakes 5-0. A lot of hype preceded Inter Miami into the 2021 MLS season but so far it’s been nothing but that. Not what David Beckham or his backers expected when they finally got the South Beach franchise off the ground.
Soccer betting markets are surprisingly tight for this game despite the contrasting fortunes. That said Oscar Pareja’s side are slightly favoured over Phil Neville’s Inter Milan on the road, and given the visitors’ form that does feel like good value for money. Take Orlando City to win.

Montreal Impact are riding a two-game unbeaten run with a win and a draw at the expense of Chicago Fire and D.C. United respectively. The latter of which was a hard fought scoreless draw that could very well bolster Montreal’s confidence given the fact that D.C United was in form and slightly favoured to win the match according to sports betting sites. On the back of these positive results, the Impact are sitting pretty in ninth place in the standings with a 3-3-3 mark and 12 points.
Nashville SC bounced back on Wednesday with a 2-0 win over Toronto on the road, getting back into the win column after losing their weekend clash with New York Red Bull 2-0 at home. Overall, Nashville sports a 3-5-1 mark and 14 points, which puts them into 14th place in the current rankings. How much stock one should put into the recent win over Toronto is debatable. Toronto’s season is off to a slow start and they’re currently sitting at the bottom of the table with only Chicago Fire worse off.
Both Montreal and Nashville have enjoyed a modest start to their season and as a consequence very little separates them in the standings. And yet, the soccer odds are skewed heavily in favor of the hosts while Montreal Impact are the absolute longshot bets. The market does seem to undervalue Montreal’s chances in the game more so than seems warranted. As such, there could be value here in betting on an upset of sorts, such as the draw.

The clash between the Los Angeles Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes pits two sides that are enjoying contrasting fortunes in 2021. While the Galaxy are soaring high in the standings, sat lotus in third place with a 6-0-3 mark and 18 points, the Earthquakes are down in the dumps behind a 3-1-6 mark and 10 points. And yet, somewhat shockingly, the market is cornered firmly with the Earthquakes across multiple top sportsbooks, despite their rather poor run of form.
The Earthquakes can’t seem to buy a win no matter how hard they try recently. They’re winless in their last five fixtures with four losses and a draw and just recently they get shellacked 5-0 by Orlando City. It’s been a forgettable four weeks or so for the Earthquakes, with very little sign they’re on the mend either.
The Galaxy, in the meanwhile, are flush off a 2-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps, bouncing back into the win column after dropping a tough battle with conference leaders Seattle Sounders. They’ve won three of their last five fixtures, two of which were clean sheets, and while they’ve taken two losses in the others both were against top calibre teams.
All told, the LA Galaxy must be the choice soccer pick here and with underdog odds currently on offer the value is too good to ignore. As the saying goes, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
