Top NHL Pick: Florida Panthers -1.5 (-105) at BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)

Tuesday’s NHL betting card presents some nice betting opportunities, especially when considering the NHL betting odds. From second-round pick Leo Carlsson to keep scoring points, we are also targeting Nikita Kucherov’s shot total.
Finally, we look to oppose the San Jose Sharks yet again, keeping a keen eye on the odds available at the top sportsbooks.
Anaheim Ducks vs. Nashville Predators
Tuesday, November 14, 2023 – 08:00 PM ET at Bridgestone Arena
Leo Carlsson Arrives in the NHL
It only took the 2nd overall draft pick nine games to bag his first NHL hat-trick, ironically it came during a 6-3 loss but nonetheless, Carlsson wasn’t complaining as the Anaheim Ducks haven’t any playoff ambitions this season, but they are building for the future and Carlsson seems to be a key part of that.
The Ducks might be on the road here but their opponents are at the bottom of the central division with a 5-9 record and Anaheim are an impressive 4-2 on the road thus far this season.
Carlsson has scored at least one point in 50% of his NHL games this season and comes into tonight’s road matchup having scored a point in his previous two games and -110 seems like a fair set of odds for him to make it three in a row tonight.
The Pick
He represents value compared to Troy Terry who is -140 to score anytime tonight despite having only scored three more points than Carlsson this season.
The 18-year-old Swedish-born player seems to be hitting form now and against a weak team such as the Nashville Predators we like our chances of Carlsson bagging himself another point tonight.
NHL Pick: Leo Carlsson Over 0.5 Points (-110) at BetOnline

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. St. Louis Blues
Tuesday, November 14, 2023 – 08:00 PM ET at Enterprise Center
Nikita Kucherov on Fire
The 2011, 58th overall pick Nikita Kucherov has gone above and beyond most of his draft class, in hindsight he should have been drafted higher.
The Tampa Bay Lightning bagged a bargain here and Kucherov has helped the team win back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021.
This season Kucherov is on course for his best season to date, averaging 1.64 points per game and has scored at least one point in 71% of his games thus far this season. With that said we are looking to lay the juice on his shot total as it represents better value.
Kucherov is -130 to see over 1.5 points tonight but also the same odds to go over his shot total of 3.5, which seems a much better prospect in our eyes.
The Pick
Kucherov has been the highest shot taker on the Tampa Bay team having averaged 4.5 shots per game (compared to the second best Brayden Point who averages 2.8 shots per game).
Coming into tonight’s matchup Kucherov has seen 4+ shots in his previous six games having averaged five shots per game in those six outings and overall has had 4+ shots in 10 of his opening 14 games.
This is a no-brainer, take the juice on Kucherov to stay hot in front of the net.
NHL Pick: Nikita Kucherov Over 3.5 Shots (-130) at BetOnline

Florida Panthers vs. San Jose Sharks
Tuesday, November 14, 2023 – 10:30 PM ET at SAP Center
Stay Opposing San Jose
We said pre-season San Jose was likely going to be the worst team in the NHL and thus far we have not been wrong, with an overall record of 2-12-1 and allowing the most goals against in the league with 4.20 per game.
Offensively they have only scored 1.2 per game, which is unbelievably poor, even the second-worst offensive team scores 2.20 goals per game.
Although we like the prospect of Florida winning here as they have a 9-4-1 record but are also last season’s Stanley Cup runners-up. They picked up where they left off last season and without two key players Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour.
This is always going to be a solid bet on Florida to win by 2+ goals but given how poor the Sharks have been, we are liking this pick even more. San Jose is 3-12 ATS this season (31st in league).
The Pick
Although the Panthers are just 6-8 ATS, they should be strong enough to beat this San Jose team by 2+ goals. The only games San Jose didn’t lose by 2+ goals was during their two victories, in other words when they don’t win, they have never lost by only one goal.
If you expect the Panthers to win then bet their -1.5 line as there’s no value at -250 on the moneyline.
NHL Pick: Florida Panthers -1.5 (-105) at BetOnline
