Things are looking no clearer in the NFL, as the picture gets murkier with no sides standing out as potential Super Bowl winners yet.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost for the second week running to the New York Giants in a match where the Giants’ young quarterback Jaxson Dart had a breakout performance.

The LA Chargers got back to winning ways with a hard-fought win at Miami, but with their mounting injury list, Chargers’ bettors are cooling off.

Talk about cooling off, there is a big freeze going on in Baltimore as the injury-ravaged Ravens lost to go 1-5, and the once Super Bowl favorites at as low a price as +400 are now easily available at +1800 and upwards.

With so much uncertainty, keeping an eye on the NFL odds week 7 is crucial for bettors, as this slate looks trickier than normal and features some high-quality matchups to analyze.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Los Angeles Chargers (-1)

Sunday, October 19 – 4:05 PM EDT

This looks like the blockbuster clash in week 7 of the NFL as the in-form 5-1 Indianapolis Colts visit the LA Chargers, who themselves are 4-2. Both franchises look bound for the AFC postseason, with their firepower at quarterback setting them apart from many of their rivals.

The Chargers made a flying start to the season but have been beset by injuries in recent weeks. That became an issue for the Colts at the weekend with the secondary banged up for their encounter with the Arizona Cardinals, which they narrowly won.

It was a similar story for the Chargers, who just managed to beat the Miami Dolphins, and any players returning from injury on the team reports this week could be crucial to their chances and affect the spread.

Currently, the spread has tightened from the look-ahead -1.5 Chargers, to close to a pick-em with the markets still marginally favoring the Chargers, although the points are edging upwards to the over.

With both Daniel Jones and Justin Herbert confirmed healthy, any late injury news could shift the spread, so keep an eye on the injury reports and the live odds to stay up to date.

Houston Texans vs. Seattle Seahawks (-3)

Monday, October 20 – 10:00 PM EDT

The opener for the Texans’ long road trip to Seattle had the Hawks favored by 2, and it comes as little or no surprise that the line has shortened to the key number of 3.

Early optics suggest that number could well topple over to the -3.5 as the support continues for Seattle despite Houston, who are 2-3, coming off a bye and their first two wins, back-to-back, versus a depleted Ravens and hapless Titans.

Seattle is easily a top 8 offense this year, if not top 5. They have really surprised the market with Sam Darnold flourishing at quarterback under head coach Mike MacDonald.

Usually, a bye-week enables a franchise some time to get injured players back, but in the Texans’ case, their team looks unchanged. The long journey to Seattle is historically a hindrance, and the Texans have struggled offensively in their campaign so far.

Keep track of the line movement, and if you like the Seahawks at -3, take it sooner rather than later with Bovada currently best at -110.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (-3)

Sunday, October 19 – 9:30 AM EDT

The annual home game for the Jacksonville Jags in London leads off Sunday’s card with the Rams flying over from L.A. for a Wembley Stadium showdown.

The Jags have been notoriously difficult to beat in the overseas games, and they stand 4-2 after a very solid start to the campaign.

The same sentiments apply to the Rams, under Sean McVay’s expert tutelage, as they have accumulated a 4-2 record. Something will give over in Europe this week as one of these franchises goes to 5-2, but who will it be?

If I had to come down on a line, I would be taking the +3 on the Jags with their experience of overseas games, but these two defenses have both been solid and difficult to penetrate.

Also factor in that the extra travel across the Atlantic has historically resulted in low-scoring London matches, the lean is to the under 45, with Heritage Sports currently dangling 45.5.
