NFL Odds for Week 2: Sept. 11-17

CeeDee Lamb #88 of the Dallas Cowboys misses a reception against the Philadelphia Eagles
Table of Contents

We may have just witnessed the greatest opening week in NFL history.

Week 1 of the 2025 regular season was a doozy – especially Sunday night’s Ravens-Bills matchup, which Buffalo came back to win 41-40. Did we have the Bills’ moneyline (+100) for our Week 1 NFL picks? And Buffalo QB Josh Allen (33-of-46) going Over 30.5 pass attempts? Yes, yes, we did.

We’ll have our next batch of plausibly prescient NFL predictions posted for you soon, but first, let’s take an early peek at the NFL odds for Week 2.

Philadelphia vs. Kansas City (+1)

Sunday, September 14, 2025 – 04:25 PM EDT

You can’t get much bigger than a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl.

The Eagles won that game rather handily, and they’ve already steamed from +1.5 to as short as –1 for Sunday’s rematch at GEHA Field. The early consensus figures at BMR show 92% of wagers landing on Kansas City, but I can confirm after doing some digging that the Eagles have indeed drawn the bigger bets.

Neither team earned the cover in Week 1. However, the Eagles (–8 at home) did manage to beat the Dallas Cowboys 24-20 despite losing their best defender, DT Jalen Carter, to an unsportsmanlike penalty after the opening kick.

You should know whether Carter will be suspended for Week 2 by the time you read this; the live NFL odds you see above will reflect that decision.

Washington vs. Green Bay

Thursday, September 11, 2025 – 08:15 PM EDT

You’d think Green Bay had already won Super Bowl LX after their big 27-13 win over the reigning NFC North champions, the Detroit Lions (+1 away). Following that impressive display by newly acquired DE Micah Parsons, the Packers opened as 2.5-point home faves for Thursday Night Football, and they’ve already moved to –3.5 at press time.

That’s a big move across the magic number three. And it comes despite Washington taking their season opener 21-6 over the New York Giants (+6 away).

Green Bay is clocking 100% consensus according to the early reports. Those surveys may be under-representing Washington supporters, but the big money is indeed on the Packers thus far.

N.Y. Giants vs. Dallas (–6)

Sunday, September 14, 2025 – 01:00 PM EDT

It’s never a dull moment in the NFC East.

Fan bases for both these teams are ready to riot; the Giants could have cooled things off by pulling the plug on QB Russell Wilson (17-of-37 for 168 yards and zero TDs) and throwing rookie Jaxson Dart into the mix, but head coach Brian Daboll confirmed Monday that Wilson would get the start against Dallas. At least Wilson didn’t turn the ball over?

Meanwhile, Cowboys fans are understandably irate over the Parsons trade – but they were a couple of CeeDee Lamb drops away from beating the defending champs on their own turf. No wonder Dallas has rocketed from –3 to –6 on the early Week 2 NFL odds board, pulling in those monster bets even while the consensus figures show 95% support for Big Blue.
