Week 13 in the NFL was remarkable, with all four Thanksgiving games being won by the underdogs to kick off the week.

The biggest shock was Joe Burrow’s return, leading the Bengals to victory over the Ravens. The reigning champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, were also weighed down on Thanksgiving, thoroughly outplayed by the Chicago Bears.

The Super Bowl favourites at the outset of last week, the Los Angeles Rams, came unstuck as 10-point road favourites against the Carolina Panthers, who themselves are having a sneaky season above expectations.

That said, let’s take a look at our NFL odds Week 14.

NFL Odds Week 13 At-a-Glance

Last week was thrilling entertainment and great fun, betting and watching the NFL Thanksgiving card.

This week, we have previewed the three biggest matches, with the Cowboys visiting Detroit leading off on Thursday Night Football. Two other franchises on long weeks since the early Thanksgiving card, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, face off in the NFC, and we are keeping an eye on the combined weather forecast and the live NFL odds module.

Finally, we take in the Kansas City Chiefs’ struggles and a match they must win at Arrowhead against the Texans.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions (-3.5)

Thursday, December 04, 2025 – 08:15 PM ET

Thursday Night Football looks like a barnstormer this week as the Dallas Cowboys go on the road to the Detroit Lions.

After back-to-back wins versus the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cowboys are once again in a must-win spot to keep dreams of a postseason campaign alive.

Like the Cowboys, the Lions played on Thanksgiving at home to the Green Bay Packers but came completely unstuck as the Packers effectively shut them out and won convincingly. Dak Prescott and his impressive attack force have found their defence solid since the trade window, and they are leaving it late, but Dallas is a force now!

The flipside is that Dan Campbell taking over the playcalling in Detroit is patently not working, and there is a sense of panic setting in. Given their divisional rivals, the Packers and Bears are above them despite their 7-5 record.

The play that takes my eye is the +3.5 for the Cowboys, which is currently juiced to -115 at Bovada, or you could take the +3 at plus money. Either way, for me, it is the Cowboys who have all the momentum, so make sure you monitor their line around the key number of +3.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers (-5.5)

Sunday, December 07, 2025 – 04:25 PM ET

The Chicago Bears’ run of excellence under Ben Johnson gathers pace by the week, and their win in Philly, where they dominated the reigning Super Bowl champions from the first whistle to the last.

It could be argued that this week’s trip to Green Bay is another step up for the Chicago Bears, and who is to say they are not up to it? Certainly, the early movement is towards the Bears at +5.5 from the lookahead +6.5.

Despite a challenging early weather forecast for Green Bay, this matchup profiles well as a sneaky over, but the points are currently tottering over the key number of 45; it needs to drop a point to risk the over.

Whether you are just watching a great game of football or betting on it, the BMR Live Odds module is the place to follow the total points line to see if it falls and tempts you to bet.

Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5)

Sunday, December 07, 2025 – 08:20 PM ET

A massive weekend in Kansas for the Chiefs, who must win against an in-form and healthier Houston Texans. The Texans have their star quarterback, C.J. Stroud, back in, with David Mills as his able deputy, and their postseason chances are starting to look rosy with the best defence in the league.

The Chiefs’ postseason is in serious jeopardy, with their 6-6 record leaving them no wiggle room for any more losses. The opening line on the lookahead for the Houston Texans was +5.5, which has contracted markedly to +3.5 and even to +3 in some places.

The current best price is (-115) on the Houston Texans +3.5 at BetOnline. The suggestion is that, even if the Chiefs keep their Super Bowl hopes alive with their proclivity for close wins, our bet still has every chance.

The week’s most anticipated matchup is the Dallas Cowboys at the Detroit Lions, where the smart money is moving the market towards the Cowboys.

Our top recommendation: Take the points on the Houston Texans.
