The much-anticipated NFL season is upon us. What more enjoyable way to partake in the return of football than by betting on some of our favorite player props for Week 1?
At Bookmakers Review, our recommended sportsbooks all with an extensive range of player props to choose from.
- The main markets are player touchdowns with the most popular ones being “anytime” or “first”
- Then you have the passing yards for quarterbacks, receiving and rushing yards for outfield players.
- The next tier of props includes more specialized lines for the players such as “completed receptions”, and “rushing attempts”.
All 32 teams are in action this week, and we have narrowed the list down to three player props from three distinct games. A full round of bets is available on our NFL Player Props page, but we are focusing on the best of the best here.
Without further ado, let us get straight into it with the opening match of the season when the Dallas Cowboys visit the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jalen Hurts: Anytime TD (-121)
This looks like the perfect spot for star quarterback Jalen Hurts to open his touchdown account for the season as the Eagles begin their defense of the Super Bowl.
Not only is the twenty-seven-year-old Houston born quarterback a world-beater in his productivity for his teammates, but his own personal tally of touchdowns is a huge boost for the Eagles, as he averages just under one touchdown a game for the last three seasons.
Priced at (-121) at Bovada (visit our Bovada Review), means it is a no brainer and a +EV spot to back Jalen Hurts for a touchdown.
Patrick Mahomes: Under 246.5 Passing Yards (-115)
The second Player Prop of NFL Week one comes from the game in Brazil that will commemorate the beginning of the 2025/2026 season between the Kansas City Chiefs and the L.A. Chargers.
The Chargers really had a hold on Patrick Mahomes last season, with their miserly defense limiting the best quarterback in the world to 210 passing yards in a close low low-scoring game last Christmas.
There will be ample distractions for all the players in Brazil, but Mahomes will be the star attraction for the Brazilian fans, so their preparation for the game could well be interrupted. Factor in the Super Bowl hangover for the Chiefs, which can often affect teams, leaving them slow out of the blocks the next season.
Given all those factors, this looks the perfect week to oppose Patrick Mahomes’ passing yards at BMR recommended sportsbook, Bovada.
Ja’Marr Chase: Anytime TD (-125)
This year has been the first for several that the Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow has had an uninterrupted preparation and that bodes well for the Bengals putting early points on the board.
Scoring points has never been a problem for the team in Cincinnati, and this year they look bound to hit the ground running.
For our Anytime Touchdown bets, it was a close decision between Ja’Marr Chase, Chase Brown, and Tee Higgins but of the three, Ja’Marr Chase offers a little more juice, given he is coming off a stellar season where he averaged one touchdown per game.
