2025 NFL Draft – Official 1st-Round Odds: Are Teams Souring on the Quarterbacks?

After months of anticipation, the 2025 NFL Draft is finally here. There have been many betting markets available at top-rated sportsbooks for weeks, and we have seen some wild swings in odds for certain prospects leading up to Thursday night’s 1st round.
But with the draft finally here, let’s go over some of our favorite 2025 NFL Draft prop picks. We’re looking for good value rather than betting on a gimme like Cam Ward going No. 1 overall to the Titans.
Colston Loveland Draft Position
At BetOnline, Michigan tight end Colston Loveland has a draft position line set to 17.5 with the following odds:
- Over 17.5 (+225)
- Under 17.5 (-350)
That’s a pretty high implication that Loveland is going to be a top 17 pick. But let’s put together a few pieces of information on a tight end position that continues to get undervalued by NFL teams:
- Tyler Warren (Penn State) is still considered the No. 1 tight end prospect in this class, and he has -425 odds to be the 1st tight end selected at BetOnline.
- Warren also has -180 odds for his draft position to go over 9.5.
- The Bears (No. 10) could draft Warren, but Ben Johnson should really consider giving Cole Kmet a shot to be his Sam LaPorta without using such a luxury pick here.
- The 49ers (George Kittle), Cowboys (Jake Ferguson), and Dolphins (Jonnu Smith) shouldn’t be looking at a tight end in the range of picks 11-13 this year.
- The Colts (No. 14) have been linked to both tight ends, but there’s still a good shot they would take Warren over Loveland.
- The Falcons (Kyle Pitts), Cardinals (Trey McBride), and Bengals (draft defense) have no business taking a tight end in picks 15-17.
So, unless the Colts defy the odds and choose Loveland over Warren at No. 14, this looks like a player who should go over 17.5. NFL teams drafting 2 tight ends in the first 17 picks is practically unheard of, and it’s not like this is a class with generational prospects.
I’d sooner trust the Chargers (Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh connection) to take Loveland at No. 22. Of course, someone trading up can always happen, but let’s take the value of Colston Loveland going over 17.5 in this draft as NFL teams still need to get with the program and realize how valuable tight ends are.

Total Quarterbacks Drafted in 1st Round
At BetOnline, the line is set to over/under 2.5 quarterbacks to be drafted in the 1st round with the following odds:
- Over 2.5 quarterbacks (-150)
- Under 2.5 quarterbacks (+110)
This is a big change from just a few days ago with the odds starting to show that Shedeur Sanders could slip into the 2nd round as he could go there to Cleveland with the 1st pick of the 2nd round (No. 33 overall).
A wide array of opinions on this one, but let’s be realistic. These are quarterbacks, the most important position in the game. This class is certainly not on the level of 2024 when a record 6 quarterbacks were selected in the first 12 picks, but there are 1st-round options here.
QB-Hungry Teams
We know Cam Ward is going No. 1 overall to the Titans. Sanders could end up in New Orleans (No. 9) or Pittsburgh (No. 21), and one of those should still happen. But you also have a chance with the Steelers using that No. 21 pick on Jalen Milroe, the Alabama quarterback they reportedly like a lot. That wouldn’t be viewed as a shock at this point as they wait to hear what Aaron Rodgers decides to do.
But the other wild card is Jaxson Dart, and there is real value for the Rams to step up and take him at No. 26 as a successor plan to Matthew Stafford, who is 37 years old, easily making him one of the oldest quarterbacks in the NFL.
The odds still favor over 2.5 quarterbacks, but it has been getting closer to a coin flip. When in doubt, trust NFL teams to reach on quarterbacks. They’ll take 3 in the first 32 picks, and don’t rule out someone trading up into the 1st round to get that 5th-year option in the rookie contract with a quarterback.

Chicago Bears 1st Drafted Player
At BetOnline, you can bet on which position a team will draft with its 1st pick in the 2025 draft. Some teams offer great value with a toss-up set of choices among the different positions. One of those teams is Chicago, which has leading odds for these positions for its No. 10 pick (only top 5 listed):
- Tight End (+240)
- Running Back (+250)
- Offensive Lineman (+275)
- Defensive Lineman/Edge (+375)
- Linebacker (+1100)
A lot of people have speculated about a tight end (Tyler Warren) or running back (Ashton Jeanty) going to the Bears at that No. 10 pick. It makes sense, but weren’t the 2024 Bears the perfect case study for why good skill players (on paper) don’t amount to much if you have a poor offensive line? Those wideouts sure didn’t do much for Caleb Williams last year because of how bad the line was.
The Bears have made some improvements in free agency to help the line get better, but it’s still far from a finished product. New coach Ben Johnson has been saying so many smart things this offseason. He really seems like a guy who “gets it” and will do wonders for the Bears.
But let’s believe that Johnson realizes his Detroit offense worked so well because he had an elite offensive line, which he doesn’t currently have in Chicago. He also has a talented tight end in Cole Kmet, who just needs better quarterback play to get him the ball. A back like Ashton Jeanty, as great as he may be, still needs blocking up front to maximize that pick.
That’s why the Bears should take an offensive lineman like Kelvin Banks Jr. (Texas), who has been shooting up draft boards and odds as the 3rd-best offensive tackle in this class after Will Campbell (LSU) and Armand Membou (Missouri).
Let’s give the Bears some help up front with Banks, making their 1st pick an offensive lineman.
NFL Pick: Chicago Bears 1st Drafted Player – Offensive Lineman (+275) at BetOnline
Baltimore Ravens 1st Drafted Player
At BetOnline, the Baltimore Ravens have the following odds to use their 1st pick on the following positions (only top 6 listed):
- Defensive Lineman/Edge (+100)
- Offensive Lineman (+350)
- Safety (+525)
- Cornerback (+750)
- Linebacker (+950)
- Wide Receiver (+1000)
The Ravens hold the No. 27 pick. This draft has been noted for its talent and depth along the defensive line, which is an argument for waiting until later picks to draft one and taking players at other positions who may not be as deep.
However, the Ravens do things differently from most NFL teams, especially in the draft. They know you need to build in the trenches, and they should know the strength in this draft is the defensive line. That’s also the group that needs to dominate when you’re playing a team like Buffalo or Kansas City and have to get pressure on those top quarterbacks.
The Ravens have been getting by with scheme and veteran coaching, but they are lacking real horsepower up front of guys who can just create pressures. That’s why the chalk of them adding a defensive lineman/edge at No. 27 is good value.
They could draft Kenneth Grant, a defensive tackle from Michigan, to strengthen their interior push. Another defensive tackle like Walter Nolen (Mississippi) could be there too. They also could certainly go edge rusher with Donovan Ezeiruaku, who was very productive for Boston College.
We’re going with a defensive lineman for the Ravens this year. The battle starts in the trenches and it’s time to reload there.
