The Kings and the Lakers recently met on January 7th. The Lakers were able to prevail 136-134. I expect another high-scoring game in Los Angeles tonight. This game will make the headlines because Trae Young and Luka Doncic were involved in a draft day trade in 2018 that changed both franchises' futures forever. So, the two stars will dominate the headlines from this tonight's game.
A player that will fly under the radar is Christian Wood. Wood was an off-season acquisition brought in to support Luka Doncic. Wood has been solid for the Dallas Mavericks averaging 18.3 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Unfortunately for the Mavericks, Christian Wood is banged up. He is dealing with a right ankle sprain and recently missed the game. Because Dallas is suffering through a torrent of injuries right now, Wood will take a shot at playing tonight even though he's not in the best of health.
