Did you even remember that today is Valentine’s Day with all the Super Bowl craziness?
Yeah, me neither. But here are a few NBA prop picks from Bovada (visit our Bovada Review), one of BMR’s top-rated sportsbooks, to win some cash and buy your significant other something nice.
Monday, February 14, 2022 – 07:00 PM EST at Capital One Arena
Washington hosts the Detroit Pistons in the first game of the night at 07:00 PM EST. The Wizards basically sold off half their team last week as they kickstart a rebuild. Star Bradley Beal is done for the season, and it’s not a sure thing he re-signs as a free agent this summer.
Washington may regret not getting something for him in a trade and risk losing him for nothing, but that’s a story for another day.

One of the key players the Wizards did get back in one of those trades was former All-Star big man Kristaps Porzingis from the Mavericks, but he’s still out injured. Someone has to score/rebound, and I believe that will be Kyle Kuzma.
The former Laker has a career-high 21 double-doubles this season, including in 13 of the last 22 games. He just had the first triple-double of his career last Thursday against Brooklyn and has 23 games with at least 10 rebounds this season, the most in his career.
Kuzma’s six games with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds are the most in a season in his career. He only had six total in his career entering this year.
When the Wizards beat the Pistons 119-116 in OT on Dec. 8, Kuzma had 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists – and that’s when he was second fiddle to Beal. That’s obviously no longer the case. Kuzma is the fiddle now so to speak.
NBA Prop Pick: Kyle Kuzma Over 36.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-110) at Bovada

Patty Mills and the stripped-down Brooklyn Nets host the Sacramento Kings at 07:30 PM EST. The Nets are an absolute train wreck right now on an 11-game losing streak and they are no longer the favorites to win the NBA title.
Golden State is now favorite at +425 followed by Phoenix at +450 and then Brooklyn at +575. No team has ever had at least a 10-game losing streak and won the title that season.

Of course, the Nets traded away James Harden last week to Philadelphia. Kyrie Irving still can’t play in home games due to the New York City COVID mandate – although that may change soon – and Kevin Durant won’t be back from injury until after the All-Star break.
Thus, Mills should be the primary scoring option tonight. Mills has struggled this month, I am aware, averaging just 9.9 points on 35.7 percent shooting, but the Kings aren’t a good defensive team.
Mills is fourth in the NBA in three-pointers made and his 42 percent shooting from deep is second among players with at least 300 three-pointers attempted.
His 15 games with at least 20 points this season already are by far career-high. Mills has scored at least 30 points twice this season after scoring at least 30 three times in the first 12 seasons of his career combined.
I’m not saying Mills will go for 30 tonight, but I absolutely expect him to get at least 16 to win this NBA wager.
NBA Prop Pick: Patty Mills Over 15.5 Points (-110) at Bovada

DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls host the San Antonio Spurs at 08:00 PM EST on NBA TV. Normally, I would not recommend going over this big of a point total. It’s just not that easy to score 30 points in an NBA game.
However, DeRozan did not leave San Antonio on the best of terms so he will want to stick it to the Spurs tonight, and he’ll probably get 30 shots because fellow All-Star guard Zach LaVine is out with knee troubles.

DeRozan has scored at least 35 points in five straight games, only the second player in Bulls history to record at least five straight 35-point games, joining Michael Jordan, who did so four times in his career, most recently in 1996.
During the streak, DeRozan has shot at least 50 percent from the field in all five games, tied for the longest such streak by any player over the past 30 seasons. DeRozan has also had at least 30 points in six straight games, the longest such streak of his career.
"It's really amazing watching him play night after night," Bulls coach Billy Donovan said. "When he gets to his spots on the floor, he's an incredibly unique player. ... He's as good of a scorer as I've been around."
When Chicago visited San Antonio on Jan. 28, DeRozan had 32 points in a 131-122 loss. LaVine was healthy then and took 22 shots of his own. Most of those will go to DeRozan tonight.
NBA Prop Pick: DeMar DeRozan Over 31.5 Points (-120) at Bovada
