English soccer has countless rivalries, but one of its most heated clashes comes between the Red Devils and the Reds. This weekend will be no different, as both squads square off at Old Trafford after successful and dramatic Champions League successes.
Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, and the superstar Cristiano Ronaldo netted a goal each to overcome Manchester United’s 2-0 deficit against Atalanta in their midweek UCL encounter. In contrast, Liverpool was also on the right side of a 3-2 victory in a back-and-forth battle with Atletico Madrid.
The problem for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his Manchester team is their inconsistency throughout the season - in both European and domestic competition.
