Although Max Verstappen has now gone three races without a race win, he stills holds a 6 point advantage over championship rival Lewis Hamilton with 6 rounds remaining. Hamilton is the sportsbook’s favorite this weekend as he starts the betting at -115, compared to Max Verstappen who is priced up at +150.
Sunday, October 24, 2021– 3:00 PM EDT at Circuit of The Americas
All six rounds are so-called “flyways” meaning they will have to fly to all their destinations or else the term is also used for a race taking place outside of the main F1 hub which is Europe. none of the races are in Europe and we have a whole array of countries to travel to. The first three rounds are taking place in the American region, after the USA race, they travel to Brazil and Mexico. Finally, the remaining rounds take place in the middle east, Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
Whilst Verstappen may be leading the race for the 2021 F1 championship, he certainly isn’t the driver on the front foot and Mercedes seemed to have edged past Red Bull in terms of car performance, even if only marginally, it can be enough to win the races and as they and Hamilton hope, the championship also.

Red Bull’s concern is the fact that Mercedes now seem to have a faster car on the straights and around corners, the previous two races have shown us this and Red Bull will have to pull something special out of the bad here on Sunday if they wish to claim top step on the podium. With that being said, all Verstappen has to do is beat Hamilton, once he does that it doesn’t matter what position he finishes in.
It all changed in Turkey, although the Mercedes was expected to be faster in other races this season, it was the Turkish GP where Red Bull was tipped to win and they didn’t come anywhere near it as Verstappen finished 14 seconds behind the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas.

Look, we have to go with the team who are looking strongest right now, and yes, it is agonizing to be passing on Max Verstappen at +150 to take the race win here, considering he is top of the Championship. However, we must remember it’s been four races since Verstappen last won a race like we discussed the Mercedes seems to be the slightly better car right now.
Given how strong Mercedes have been in recent years at the Circuit of Americas, given the fact Hamilton had a difficult race last time out (finishing down in6th position), he will no doubt be eager not to make the most of his cars strength and also his own strength at this track, having won here five times from the previous eight races.
-120 is a good set of betting odds here but we would urge you to get on it now as a pole position in qualifying will push his odds into around -250 for the race win. We wouldn’t take any less than -130.
