The Winthrop Eagles will take on the High Point Panthers in an exciting Big South matchup. High Point is currently 1-3 in conference place and 7-11 on the year, but the Panthers have been sticking around against most teams on the road this season.
High Point has four games that went to overtime and lost each of the four. The Panthers also lost two games by one point. So let's just say those games went their way… High Point would be 13-5 with massive losses to Northwestern, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Kentucky, and Charleston Southern.
You see where I'm getting at! High Point is always in tight games, with lots of fouling at the end, and many shots at the foul line.
Betting Analysis
Winthrop is one of the best offenses in the Big South. The Eagles are shooting a 55.5 percent effective field goal percentage while knocking down 37.1 percent of threes and 55.4 percent of shots inside. While the Eagles only shoot 67.3 percent from the line, the Eagles get to the line at a high rate and that shouldn't stop against High Point.
Meanwhile, Winthrop turns the ball over 20.7 percent of the time and that could give High Point the opportunity to score points in transition quickly.
