Alexander Zverev has had a fantastic Australian Open so far. Zverev has yet to drop a set. Zverev has been serving excellently and had over a 70% first-serve percentage in all three of his matches. According to ATP odds, he is the second favorite to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament, and so far he has been living up to expectations. Zverev has only been broken on his serve twice in the first three matches. This is some of the best tennis we have seen out of Alexander Zverev in his career.
Denis Shapovalov has had a much rockier path to arrive in the fourth round. Shapovalov has dropped a set in each of his matches and had to go to 5 sets against Soonwoo Kwon. Shapovalov is enigmatic and he can be inconsistent.
Still, against Opelka and Kwon, he raised his play to the brilliant level that we have seen from him when he was at his best. He has been raising his level of play when it's needed most. Shapovalov won in routine fashion against American Reilly Opelka in his third-round match.
Shapovalov only had a 58% first-serve percentage against Opelka but won an impressive 83% of first serves points. Shapovalov’s win over Reilly Opelka was impressive because of Opelka’s form as he entered the match. Opelka had been playing at his highest level, and when he is on, his serve is unreturnable.
For Shapovalov to be able to overcome this and not get frustrated was impressive. Even in the face of adversity, Shapovalov believed in himself and stayed focused. He bided his time in big points and waited to take advantage of opportunities. Shapovalov will need to take this level of focus into his match today.
I think Denis Shapovalov can provide Zverev his first test of the tournament and at least get one set. This would lend itself well to the over of 37 (-115). Technically this bet could win if there are three tiebreakers, but realistically, we'll need four sets to win this wager. I believe Denis Shapovalov has it in him to win a set. Our first play for today will be over 37 (-115).

Amanda Anisimova scored a huge upset when she defeated Naomi Osaka in round 3. Now she faces a nice even tougher test, the number one in the world Ashleigh Barty at home in Australia. Anisimova needed a third-set tiebreaker to defeat the defending champion.
Amanda Anisimova had a 68% first percentage and won 72% of the first serves she put in play. What was more impressive however was the 61% of second serve points won. This allowed her to win 15 of the 16 service games. There were only two breaks of serve total in this match. Amanda's serve will be put to the test in her match tonight.
Ashleigh Barty has yet to drop a set in this Australian Open but she is done so against decidedly weaker competition. Barty defeated Camila Giorgi 6-4, 6-3 in her third-round match. It was a routine win for Barty. Barty only made 56% of her first serves but won 93% of the first serves she put in play. She also saved 100% of her breakpoints. She faced 4 breakpoints during the match.
While I do think Ashleigh Barty gets the win, I don't think that she will get an easy win as she has in her first three rounds. This is the best tennis that Amanda Anisimova has played in her career. Anisimova has shown the physical tools to be a number one player. Obviously, Amanda Anisimova is young and lacks experience.
In the WTA, women can blossom out of nowhere from unheralded player to Grand Slam champion. It would not be very surprised if that happened again and Amanda Anisimova was able to win the title.
To do so, she's going to have to beat Barty. I like Anisimova to at least keep it close in this match and maybe even get upset. She is not going to roll over easily. My second best bet is over 20 (-110).
WTA Pick: Over 20 (-110) with Bovada
