GTECH Corporation Signs One-Year Online Contract Extension with the Illinois Lottery

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GTECH Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., announced that it has signed a one-year extension with the Illinois Lottery to continue providing online lottery products and services through October 16, 2008. This is the final exercisable year under the Lottery's current contract with GTECH. With respect to its contract extension with the Illinois Lottery, GTECH expects to receive revenues of approximately $35 million over the extension period. GTECH has been providing products and services to the Illinois Lottery since 1989.

Under the terms of the extension, GTECH will continue to provide the Lottery with central system operation and maintenance; terminal maintenance; communications network management; marketing support; and retailer training.
