24-11-2007 Jenningsbet buys the Heathorns brand

The Telegraph reported that Jennings acquired the business from Interactive Gaming Holdings for an undisclosed sum.

Bookmakers Review spoke to Paul Roberts, Director of the Jennings Bookmaking Group, who confirmed the acquisition of certain assets from IGH, including the trading name of Heathorns International, its database, hardware and software.

"Jenningsbet has not purchased any companies or their liabilities," specified Roberts, who also said it will take Jenningsbet up to 3 months to build, test and open a new Heathorns and Jenningsbet web site.

Jennings Bookmaking Group is one of the oldest high street bookmakers in the UK, having been founded in 1961. The company is still a family run business with over 70 betting shops in the UK, Jersey and Isle of Man as well a telephone betting operation and an online site, which was run as a Victor Chandler white label until few months ago.
