23-05-2007 The Association of British Bookmakers to stop supporting the levy system

The ABB said it won't support the continuation of the levy system to fund horseracing as the betting shop pictures war between SIS and Turf TV remains unresolved. In other news, the CEO of the British Horseracing Authority dismissed as a "non-starter" the proposal of Chris Bell, CEO of Ladbrokes, who suggested that payments for racing pictures could be used to replace the levy.
