22-05-2007 Paddy Power reports sportsbook gross win ahead of its expectations

Chairman Fintan Drury said 2007 has started very well, with an exceptionally favourable run of sporting results in the 20 weeks to 15 May 2007. During this period, sportsbook turnover was up 10% in the retail channel, down 2% in the telephone channel and up 26% in the online channel, which also saw strong growth in poker, casino and games.

The Irish bookmaker also announced the upcoming launch of paddypowertrader.com, an online financial spread betting site.
