20-10-2007 Antigua appoints BetonSports liquidators as receiver-managers of BoS Antigua Ltd

Following an Antiguan court's decision to unfreeze BetonSports's assets on the island, the Financial Services Regulatory Commission appointed the liquidators of BetonSports plc, Nigel Hamilton-Smith and Peter Wastell, to act as receiver-managers of the company's local subsidiary.

In other news, Antigua's Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer told the Sun that Antigua will explain its position at the WTO during the 12th annual Caribbean Multi-National Business Conference.

"You can rest assure that every effort will be made to ensure that Antigua’s case is put and put clearly and unequivocally to not only congress persons but other personalities that could be of influence in this particular matter," said Spencer.
