20-10-2006 Vietnam not ready to legalize betting on football |

Vietnamese legislators have decided to wait for the Government to issue a decree on football betting before adding provisions to legalize sports betting to the Sports Law.
According to a recent survey of the Finance Ministry, the country is losing huge amounts of money which is sent abroad to bet on sports. Vietnamese bettors are believed to spend up to $1 billion each year just for betting on football. |
