20-04-2007 Paddy Power and Victor Chandler to show Turf TV in their betting shops

While the Big Three bookmakers, Coral, Ladbrokes and William Hill, have stayed loyal to racing pictures provider SIS, Paddy Power has signed a six year agreement with Turf TV. The deal comes few days after Victor Chandler announced to have signed up to show Turf TV in his three betting shops in London, Dublin and Cork.

In different news, the Daily Telegraph reports that the Tote Chief Executive Trevor Beaumont is poised to announce an operating profit of £30m, up from £23.4m for the year to March 31 2006. The newspaper also revelaed more details of a confidential memo from the Racecourse Association Chairman David Thorpe, who commenting on the racing consortium's bid for the state-owned bookmaker, complained that "the Tote management's plans are unproven, aggressive and do not focus on horse racing".
